Before going on this trip, my main concern with this hotel based on reviews I read on here was that the room would be too small. It wasn't -- it was perfectly fine for two people. Some of the hotel was a bit Spartan, even more than I'd expect from a budget hotel. Some signs were lopsided, and the walls in the hallways resembled caves. But the lobby and the room were fine. Service was very friendly.
Location was good -- close to the Hauptbahnhof, but the surrounding area felt safe.
The rate we reserved included free breakfast, which had a decent selection and good quality. The free lobby wifi worked in our room, which was awesome.
We couldn't get the air conditioning to work in our room (maybe they disable it in October?), so it was somewhat warm in our room one or two nights (and opening the windows isn't a great option if you're facing the train station). But other than that, everything was comfortable.
