Want a great local beer in a lively atmosphere? You got it. Want schnitzel (pork) with fried potatoes - traditional and classic? You got it. Want a salad with lightly friend chicken, a piece of fish or a cheese plate. Still in the right place. Went with work colleagues, friends and family. From the kids, to the dieters, to the enthusiastic carnivores, no one was disappointed. I wont say it was the best schnitzel ever. Poland still wins in that category. But it was a great and comfortable meal in a restaurant that felt like it was truly of the city versus created for travelers.

Visited twice within a few days. First time with local friends. Gebratenes Haxenfleisch was excellent. So was the Schnitzel!
The place gives you immediately the sense of a traditional brauerei and it lives up to this expectation with very good service and excellent food quality.

Excellent beer, one of the better Alts in Düsseldorf. The pub itself is the usual brauhaus set up. The seating area is not as large as others but we were always able to get a seat. Didn't try the food but was serving the usual German fare and looked really good. This place is situated opposite the rival Schlösser brewery which was always empty when we went whereas Füchschen was always busy. Tells you everything you need to know!

Come to this place around 8 p.m. and enjoy yourself with their €2 local beers. Step inside for some local German food which is surprisingly good considering it looks only to be a bar. Instead the restaurant and cook serve up tasty German dishes that will pave the way for more beers. The only negative point I see is that the service seems a bit slow and the waiters seemed a bit too arrogant.
