We needed to stay in Dusseldorf for a week because of our daughter’s medical treatment there, and wanted to stay in a nice economical hotel. We are so happy that we chose Max Hotel Garni.

All the good things about the location, breakfast, free drinks, and free tickets for public transportation written in other reviews were true. The décor of the hotel was really nice. The room was simple, but had a nice taste. The bathroom looked like brand new and was spotless. We liked the hand shower because it was easy to wash our girls.

There is a very nice supermarket around the corner, and we bought fresh organic fruit on the way back at the end of the day.

Phillip and Petra were so kind and helpful. They let us check in early morning with no extra cost. Whenever we needed help, e.g.,taxi, restaurant, finding out how much time it takes to the hospital, etc, they took extra time to do their best to help us.

In the morning of our first visit to the hospital, Petra gave our girls princess rubber ducks and wished us a good luck.

We travel very often and stay in all sorts of places from economical to luxurious hotels. Our stay at Max Hotel Garni was definitely one of the most pleasant and memorable experiences largely because of the personal services we received.

Stayed here last Saturday ... great hotel, great location! Petra and Phillip are a very lovely and friendly couple who made us feel very welcome. My only complaint is that despite getting an email from Petra confirming the reservation for our room .... when we got there she had no idea who I was and the room HADN'T been reserved for us. She scuttled off to fix up the double room they had available while Phillip made us a cup of tea after our long drive. I think she began to recall the reservation but no apology was forthcoming. Other than that, you can't go wrong with Hotel Max Garni .... just might be an idea to confirm your reservation when you set out! I only gave 4 out 5 for service because of this.

My friends and I were in Dusseldorf by chance because of a schedule change by our air line. We found this hotel using Trip Advisor and it was the best place we stayed out of our entire two week tour. The lady was very kind, gave us lots of tips for places to go and the rooms were so cute! The beds were the most comfy adn for hte price this place just can't be beat! They have a fridge in the communal area with complimentary Altbier, cokes and such. Also breakfast was to die for! She cooked us eggs to order and our hotel tickets included free use of public transport. I can't believe we were lucky enough to find this place. I'd go back to Dusseldorf just to stay here!

After a few minutes, your guests make you feel like at home, and you have everything you need. Not a posh hotel but the opposite. Modern rooms, free wifi, open bar (yes really!), and outstanding service. The rooms were quite cheap so this hotel is definitively a must. I travel often but I rarely write such comments... The only problem may be during hot days: there is no air con but it was okay the week I spent in Düsseldorf.

Stayed over one night to visit friends; felt at home immediately. Very nice and clean room, well decorated, great breakfast, room tickets also works as ticket on public transport. Everything you'd wish for when you need a comfy and welcome stay-over.
