We stayed here for the World Irish Dance Association championships and being on site was brilliant. The room was very comfortable and you couldn't hear any aircraft noise which was a big plus especially as the airport was only 5 mins walk away. The minibar seemed overly extravagant and unnecessary. It also took up space in the fridge. Buffet was delicious with a huge choice although my daughter said she was disappointed by the lack of real German sausages! We made good use of the small swimming pool and steam room which were both great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our only internet access was via the shared computers next to reception which worked out Ok. Other than breakfasts in the hotel we bought most of our food from the well-stocked supermarket in the airport. Restaurants in hotel were too pricey for us.

What a beautiful modern comfortable located hotel!! The hotel is right next to the arrivals terminal, crossing a small street. It is huge and very well appointed. The check in was fast and easy (it was only 11am) and I had the opportunity to practice my rusty German :-)
The room was clean, spacious, with all the needed amenities. I didn't have the time to check on the Sheraton hotel that was also at the airport because it was double the price I paid at The Maritim Hotel and it couldn't have been much better than the Maritim, really...The beds were super comfortable, I wish I could have taken with me those amazing pillows, the bathroom was modern and very spacious too. Very few channels but I didn't go there to watch TV anyway.
I would definetly go back to the same hotel and I would recommend it to everyone with good taste and high expectations.

AirBerlin wheel-chaired my wife all the way from our arrival gate to the hotel! Way above and beyond! Hotel staff excellent as was the late dinner in the cocktail lounge. The room was clean, spacious and had all appropriate amenities. The breakfast venue was great. The whole experience left us wishing we could stay another day. And, guess what, AirBerlin came and wheeled my wife all the way back to our departure gate!

Stay if only for the location. Hotel is on airport grounds and train station to the city is on lower level of airport. Don't bother paying for a superior room. It gets you nothing but a couple of mini-bar drinks. (The wine actually was undrinkable and went down the drain) The free internet (superior room only) offered was only wired and so not usable with our tablets. There are no ice machines so room service has to supply ice. There are 2 full size pillows and 2 airplane size pillows in the room. No iron. Rooms are spotless, quiet, and modern. Bed is comfortable. Nice pool The staff seems to view their guests as intruders. We overheard a German pilot who had brought his entire flight crew for the night hopelessly trying to get free internet, so the indifference is not only directed at Americans.

Great location in Dusseldorf Airport. It covers the requirements of any business traveller in terms of a good and confortable bed, choice of pillows, quite, good size bedrooms and bathrooms, nice shower head and great towels. For me the fact that only TV in German is free is not a big deal as I don't watch TV but it could be a bad thing for someone's else. However the price of the breakfast (25€!) and the fact there is not free internet at all (22€ per day) make this hotel a good choice for spending the night if I have an early flight but nothing else.

I was staying there during Medica 2012 and I have to say that the hotel is great. Rooms are OK, nothing special, but the restaurant and breakfast is perfect. If you are going to Medica, you can just take a bus very near from the hotel. Walking distance from the airport.

Although you are within a short walking distance of check in, you really do no feel like you are staying at the airport.
The hotel has a beautiful central atrium that gives a sense of space, it also helps with the generally excellent control of noise.
There are a good selection of restaurants which are cleverly arranged so you do not get direct site of the hotel.
The rooms and breakfast are also what you would expect from a hotel of this level.
