I spent a few days at a conference in Dusseldorf, Germany and stayed in this nice hotel. It is a rather modern building not too far from the airport and also close enough to the city center.
Check-in was easy although a bit slow but this might have been because of a rather chaotic group of travelers in front of me. There were two receptionists and I would expect the second one to look after the other guests instead of both looking after one unorganized party with three other guests waiting and watching.
The room was small but very nice, clean and tasteful. There was even a little kettle and lots of coffee and tea which was nice and handy as I had to prepare some presentations and easily could have my pick-up coffee(s) 'along the way'.
The only odd thing was the huge front window which I initially liked thinking it was mirrored or darkened from the outside. I was somewhat mortified to realize later that anyone might have watched me getting out of the shower, resting on the (btw very comfortable) bed or sitting at the desk in my underwear doing some work. All together a nice place to stay with above average service in convenient location.

This is a nice hotel in a good location, near to the river and a pleasant 20 minute walk from the old town.
They boast a 100% satisfaction guarantee, which I guess they'd honour if you had any complaints; which I didn't.
Internet access is reliable and free, which is a bonus as you never really know what you're getting when a place advertises Wi-fi.
I found the menu in the restaurant pretty limited, but with the old town so close it's not really an issue; breakfast had a wide selection.
The bathroom was fairly unique, with a walk in wetroom shower (You'd want to be on pretty good terms with anyone you're sharing a room with though as there's no lock on the bathroom door and the walls and doors are mostly glass. (At one point a member of staff knocked as she was entering the room, so lock the door!)
The staff were pleasant and helpful, so no issues.

Room Tip: Ask for extra towels and pillows as they only supply the minimum.

Not normally using this chain of hotels but am quite glad that i did. This Blu Media is set in a nice district near the harbour that has been redeveloped. Surrounded by great bars and restaurants and only 15 minutes walk along the river from the old town. The rooms are modern bright and slick. Free wireless always a bonus and a very large and comfortable bed and geat shower room make a business stay much easier to cope with. Staff are friendly and service is good. Pleasantly surprised.

I stay in Dusseldorf 2 or 3 times a month so have sampled a few of the hotels. This is always my first choice. The hotel has a warm, contemporary feel and is in a great location. There are some good bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity in the ‘Media harbour’ area and it’s right by the river.

- Check-in: I have always found the check-in staff efficient and helpful;
- Rooms have a really ‘clean’ feel and the floor to ceiling windows are great as long as you don’t forget when you’re getting changed! Beds and pillows are comfortable. I occasionally get upgraded to the Business Class rooms, not fundamentally different but outlook is quieter;
- Bathrooms are a good size and probably feel bigger than they really are. Large walk-in shower is good;
- Food in Bar area is OK (salad, sandwich etc...) and the Italian restaurant in the hotel is decent if you can’t be bothered to go out. However, you have plenty of choice here and good to see the hotel has looked at the menu and prices. Breakfast buffet offers reasonable choice, sometimes you have to try several times to get a coffee if they are busy;
- Fairly small gym on 6th floor with some cardio machines and a sauna. It’s OK.

A really good hotel that caters well for business needs in a great location. If I was visiting Dusseldorf for leisure/ weekend I’d stay here as there’s plenty going on and it’s walking distance to the Altstadt (10-15mins).

Stayed here on a lads weekend break and had a great time. Everything you'd expect from a new Radisson Blu. Located in a lovely, leafy neighbourhood yet an easy walk into the Old Town along the river (or 2min taxi ride). Rooms are modern and clean and the breakfast is excellent, Starbucks Coffe next door is a bonus.....along with a couple of good cafes/restaurants serving good hangover food!!!
