Was warmly welcomed by the hotel manager, Sasha and Joanna the receptionist who made me feel right at home. The room was very spacious, clean, elegantly decorated. I opted for a double, as I don't like being stuck in small rooms with tiny beds. Wifi worked like a charm. My only criticism is that the breakfast didn't have enough hot items. It consisted mainly of cold cuts, bread and scrambled eggs. It would've been nice to be able to order some hot items, especially choice of eggs other than scrambled, and maybe pancakes, sausages, etc. The hotel is a 7min tram ride from the city, which I took the first day, but opted to walk the other days. It's only 20mins. All in all, I would highly recommend the hotel for a short stay in Dusseldorf!

Excellent place to stay in Dusseldorf for any reason - business or leisure trip. Very nice, stylish and comfortable hotel. Close to the downtown - only few minutes far by tram. Very funny and helpful stuff. Every room is stylish with a comfortable bathroom - with modern shower. Delicious breakfast - fish, ham, eggs, bread, croissants, fruits, muesli - whatever you need.

We stayed here for one night while on a flight layover. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room and bathroom were spacious, comfortable, and clean, with a great shower. You will likely take a tram to get around, but it was fairly easy to navigate and the stop is very close to the hotel. The breakfast was a good European continental style, with lots of fresh fruits and breads, eggs, and meats to choose from. And, bonus, they have free wireless!

Hotel is OK in many ways but interestingly I would not stay there again and neither would my colleague for his own reasons. The problem is, it’s all about what they expect of you, with little understanding of hosting skills.

For example, I walked into a very hot room that would have benefited from prior ventilation. I started the fan that short circuited the fuse board. The fan was replaced swiftly and fuses reset which was appreciated. But and here is where the issue is, somehow I was made to feel by the Manager/Owner that it was an inconvenience for him or even my fault.

I did open the door and window to get some fresh cool air in but neither had any way of being secured in the open position. I placed carefully the net curtain to hold back the window and a chair to hold the door open.

The same Manager/Owner told me off as if I was a child for holding the window open in this manner. He further pointed out that this is what other customers do and it damages the net curtain. I did point out that if I was responsible for any such damage that I would be more than happy to cover the cost.

Simply I feel the customer is not trusted here and needs directing to understand the hotel ethos.

All a bit of a shame as this place could be excellent if they are prepared to take on board some of their customers concerns.
