We heard from a lot of people this is the place to go for good food and drinks. I agree with the food, it was very good, but the drinks didn't live up to the hype. We ordered 4 different drinks though-out our dinner, two of which were okay, and two that were undrinkable. I am not sure if the bar tender has a hit or miss record for making drinks, but we both were disappointed with what we got. Again, the food is excellent and the atmosphere was very nice. So if you are not a alcoholic beverage consumer, this is a great place for you. If you enjoy good drinks, you might think twice before coming here.

We decided to try this restaurant based on positive feedbacks from tripadvisor. First, to those who believe this is à Thaï restaurant,it is absolutely not correct. It´s more a chinese fusion style food which is served here. The quantity served was generous but the quality was correct, not amazing as we could read from some comments (to specify we are Asians so our expectations might be also higher). The service was not exceptional but we were served quickly. We can not give a good note to this restaurant since it serves standard food, nothing special.

In Dusseldorf to see a concert at the Tonehalle and went for diner at the Ginger Boy prior to the concert. ´Warm welcome and lovely atmoshpere and the restaurant was almost full at just 6.00pm on a Monday evening so would suggest booking in advance. Menu has a good choice of both starters and main dishes and all at a reasonable price. Chose the spring rolls to and chicken satay to start which came beautifilly presented and were both very tasty and cooked to perfection. For main meals we ordered glazed crispy duck on a bed of vegatables and rice and beef coconut curry sereved with wonderful spices while not being too hot.
Overall a wonderful dining experience with excellent food in a lovely atmosphere at a reasonable price...cannot recommned this retaurant highly enough.

We were in Düsseldorf because we had a big international flight early the next morning, so we just booked a hotel close to the airport. Through tripadvisor we found this restaurant, and it looked promising. Turns out that it was indeed very good!

A fun thing to know is that in the introduction in the menu, they write that "spice levels are adjusted to the local level, but if you prefer traditional amounts of pepper, just tell us!" I am a capsaicin lover, so I ordered a beef and sesame dish which was described as "incredibly hot" and told them to spice it up. I, of course, got a brief warning ("are you sure?") but when the dish was served (waiting time was relatively short, which is nice) it was not extremely hot. I'll admit that it was hotter than what you can get at any restaurant, and it was also really really tasty, but I was looking for "five alarm fire" type of hot, and this was only "the local fire department can probably handle it" hot. But still, it was great food.

So in summary: not expensive at all, nice atmosphere, almost perfect levels of capsaicin, and friendly waiters. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody who's into asian food.

A great find in Dusseldorf if you are looking for something as an alternative to the usual German fare. Food choice good but not overwhelming as with some Fusion restaurants, what there is on the menu is good choice and well-priced food. The flavours were bold and interesting and the spice could be turned up or down depending on your mood. The service was good quick and attentive. The staff were all able to understand and speak English. Good value for money but like with a lot of German restaurants they do not take credit cards. Well worth getting some cash for a good time.
