This hotel is nestled among the many apartment buildings in the Altstadt of Dusseldorf. It is not handicap accessible and thought the rooms themselves are well insulated and quiet, the area is very loud on weekend nights, as it is very near the Altstadt center, with all of its clubs and activities. That being said, the rooms are big and have a kitchenette, which is good for longer stays and picky eaters. The bed is a "typical" German king-sized bed, which means there are two twin beds side by side, which mean they are always slipping apart which means you are continually sucked into the void of uncomfortableness. This is a German idiosyncrasy more than a hotel flaw, but I just wanted to point it out.
If you are a party-er, and want to crawl back to the hotel after a night of heavy drinking, this is the place to stay. There is no breakfast offered and there is no restaurant attached to the hotel. Though a little inconvenient, there are many many restaurant choices nearby for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The staff was friendly and can easily accommodate non-German speaking guests. In my opinion, the hotel was overpriced for the value received, but that could have been due to the face that I was there during a large machinery exhibition (The K-Show at the Messe).
