Great hotel, really nearby Konigsalle shopping street. Ideal location to visit Kerstmarkt as well. And they even have free wifi! Only breakfast was expensive, so we didn't eat there. Hotel staff are really friendly and helpful. We have enjoyed our stay very much.

This competitively priced hotel is strategically located 10 minutes walk from the main train station (Hbf), 3 minutes from the best shopping area in town (Königsallee) and 12 minutes from Altstadt (old city and most entertainment and eateries). Very convenient for your transit needs since within few minutes you will find three subway stations (Steinstrasse, Oststrasse and Hbf).
The hotel itself is not big but rather intimate, the overall service is exceptional. The friendly, multilingual staff will do anything in their power to make your stay pleasant, comfortable and worry free. I will rate them an A+.
The rooms while not huge are well appointed, clean and welcoming. The bathroom is modern and functional. The amenities are adequate but not exceptional.
The breakfast like in all NH hotels is beyond all expectations. The buffet is rich, and the “healthy” selections and drinks (5-6 fruit juices) are remarkable.
I have written numerous reviews but I must admit that this may be my best rating for a hotel. You will want to know if there are any negatives. They are hard to find but, I will mention that my shampoo bottle and soap were not replaced until they were used 100%. Most establishments will not wait that long. It is obvious that I highly recommend the NH Center City in Düsseldorf.

Near the city center, it is in a good position to visit Düsseldorf. The room was little, but it was nice, clean and well equipped. The personnel is kind, and the service was good. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic!

Can't fault the room or breakfast but nothing exceptional or inspirational. Receptionists did not always speak good German or English so simple requests (eg enquiry regarding availability of bath robes) became more complex. Convenient location for business district and old town. Room was €230 which was expensive for the standard of service, facilities and decor on offer.

Was there for the Anuga food show in Cologne. Train station is an easy 15 min waik and various eating options nearby. Dusseldorf has a small JapanTown a few blocks north of the hotel. The hotel caters more to business clientele with spacious rooms and very nice breakfast buffet. Service is fast and friendly. Free internet is very slow and recommend paying the fee for faster connections. Recommend asking for a unit that faces the back of the hotel or east given some adjacent bars can get noisy late at night. For those inclined, the hotel has several membership cards for free use at a fitness center a block away. Nothing fancy but acceptable.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel in october 2013. Rooms are small but very clean and quite modern. Bathroom is very clean, the bath sounded brand new. Did not try the breakfast. Location is ok, not very far from the old city (Altstadt) by walking 10 to 15 min.

Bed is a bit soft. TV is not HD. Wifi is free.

This hotel is designed for business trip, not for family/couples.

We usually utilise the NH North when in Dusseldorf, due to its proximity to our office. But as that member of the chain was booked up we were put into the City location.
This NH has a large modern reception area from which you can easily walk to the bar and restaurant, or sit comfortably in the lounge section with its views of the central three glass elevators.
Can’t complain about any of the service levels I experienced and as others have mentioned the breakfast service is one of the positives. A very nice bright space and a really impressive buffet spread in the mornings.
Was given a double room which was perfectly adequate and had all the standard business fitments. The bathroom was small but with all the bits you normally want. Although the shower located in the middle of the bath was a bit strange, and difficult to get it to aim at anywhere else other than the shower curtain opposite, meaning that I couldn’t work out how to have a shower without achieving a pool of water on the floor. And as several others have mentioned the air conditioning really wasn’t up to the job and if you like a cold room, then this could only be achieved by opening the windows.
And if you have to wait in the lounge area for colleagues, you can easily spot that the lift algorithms are programmed to have at least one, if not two of the lifts on the ground floor at all times. This is obviously fine when you want to go up. But if you are given a room on the top floor then allow for extra time to make the lobby as the lift will stop at every floor on the way down during the busy periods.
Another positive of the NH City is its more central location. There is a U Bahn station a minute walk away and the River Rhein section of the Altstadt can be reached with a brisk 20 minute stroll.
So all in all, a solid business hotel that I wouldn’t have any qualms about utilising again when next in Town.
