“Spacious rooms, high ceilings & reasonable location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2013

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night after arrival to DUS airport. It is very easy to reach by S-bahn - just around a corner from D-Voelklinger station. Dusseldorf media harbor is in reasonably close reach, neighborhood around the hotel looks safe. Rooms are quite spacious, high ceilings are great, bathrooms are of high standards. Beads were like heaven - huge and comfy.
I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

1st Day Stay for our Germany Trip, unexpectedly close to S-Bahn Station, easy to reach. Clean and Tidy Room with Spacious area. Nice Stay! (**No escalator or elevator for the S-Bahn Dusseldorf-Volks., a bit inconvenient as we've heavy luggages with us.)

We stayed two nights in a double room in March 2013. The hotel was easy to find, and has a tram stop right outside which can get you to the Altstadt or the Hauptbahnhof in about 15 minutes. Check in was smooth and our first floor room was very nice, a good size, with particularly comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was excellent with a very wide choice of hot and cold dishes, and particularly good pastries as so many hotel pastries and breads are stale, but not here. The hotel would suit anyone tasting in Dusseldorf for a few days and is worth the money and the 4 star rating. My only slight issue was the connectivity and speed of the wifi, but this might have been the room we were staying in. The area is quiet and safe, and both tram stop and S Bahn stop are right outside, but you can also walk to the Altstadt in about half an hour. There is a free park and ride car park at Sudfriedhof, about 15 minutes walk away, so we avoided paying the expensive hotel parking. Overall though a very pleasant stay in this hotel, would recommend to friends and come back ourselves.

Stayed in August 2012 for my Mum;s 75th brthday as she partly grew up in Dusseldorf as my Grandad was stationed there after the war. Very easy journey from Airport - good transport links. Not the prettiest of areas but walking distance to modern harbour area. Great staff, easy check in we had 2 rooms. Very spacious & although close to Railway I didnt hear it.
Fab Breakfast loads of choice, really nice bar area - it was very sunny so we sat outside.
Nice rooms plenty big enough.
They do let dogs stay - there were quite a few - I love dogs so not a problem for me but might be for someone else. They came into breakfast as well!
Great value great place to stay.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper maybe mention it at reception they spoke very good english.

A perfectly pleasant hotel, modern and well equipped rooms (bathroom was very small though). Good service from reception and waiting staff. Good choice at breakfast.

The only downside for me was the noise from the railway. Even though my room was towards the back of the hotel I could still hear the trains.

The room was spacious, quiet desppite being near a railway line, very comfortable and clean.
The bar/restaurant is a warm inviting space and the breakfast was excellent as was the service.
The only downside is the location, which is not great - BUT it is only 500m to bars and restaurants in the beautiful harbour area and is about 25 minutes walk into town, but there is a tramstop very hear the hotel.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Our two night stay here couldn't have been more pleasant. The room was a good size with modern fittings, staff were always very helpful and pleasant. Free movies on demand and access to gym and sauna across the road. Definitely the best hotel we have stayed at in Europe. Recommend to all!!
