Following on Daniel-Schiavini's review, I'd like to reiterate his view on the old town.
Although this part of the city looks really nice and feels authentic, the night life is absolutely horrible for a black person.
All my fair-skinned friends could get in all of the clubs there but I was constantly rejected due to my dark skin. Yes, we've been trying different clubs (Sub had the most blatant racist doormen) and whilst all my friends could get in, I was simply laughed at and unceremoniously told "no entry for you".
The message from those doormen was crystal clear and it is really sad to post such a review in 2014 but it is important to share these sorts of experiences for a better future.
