The rather new hotel (opened in October 2009) is a great find. Centrally located in a quiet residential street bordering the gorgeous Hofgarten park, it is just a 10 to 15 min. stroll through the park to Old Town and the Rhine promenade. For those not interested in walking: a tramway and subway stop is right around the corner.

Rooms and public spaces are very nicely designed and the hotel's art concept reflects the park from across the street.

Our room was not especially large, but it was so smartly designed, with lots of shelves and storage space, that it never felt cramped. Beds were great, nice bath amenities were provided, the walk-in shower had nice water pressure and did not - as it happens so often - cause a flood on the bathroom floor. The room, though facing the street, was absolutely quiet.

Each guest received a voucher for a free tapa sample at the very hip bar/lounge. As member of Melia's MAS rewards, a newspaper was delivered to the room each morning free of charge.

Staff was very nice and courteous throughout, and let us check-in very early (around 10 a. m) and check-out late (2 p. m.) without any hassle.

Best feature: the breakfast buffet! As you can see in my profile, I have stayed at many places, but this buffet was outstanding: apart from the usual hot and cold dishes, they served fresh strawberries, fresh cherries, paté, Bircher Muesli, yummy Müller Milch varieties - you name it. All that to be taken in the bright and airy "aqua" restaurant. Just great!

My new favourite hotel when visiting Düsseldorf!

We stayed at the hotel 2 nights. It is very well situated, very near to the Rhein and also to the city center.
Room was very nice, very clean and nicely decorated.
Breakfast was also rich in offers and if you had some luck, you could have found a table outside the hotel, on the terasse.

I would certainly stay there again.

This hotel was excellent in every way...from the service, room quality and exceptional food quality. It is situated near to the Aldstadt, with just under a 10 minute walk through a lovely park so the locaion is perfect. The choice at breakfast was amazing from cooked to continental the choice was endless. We ate in the restaurant on our first evening, although there is not a lot of choice the food was great and quite reasonably priced. Overall an excellent stay and well recommended if you are looking for a hotel in Dusseldorf.

We stayed here only for one night.
It’s a Fantastic hotel. Very cheap, large, modern and wonderful rooms even the standard room.
The best breakfast we ever took.
Near the park and 10 min walking to the city center.
The staff were very friendly and we really recommend this to anyone staying in Dusseldorf. Please stay here it's very very good.

The hotel is well located at 10 min. walking distance from the city center, with a number of rooms facing a beautiful green park (it looks like a smaller Central Park).
Plus:
-Its's very modern but still with a warm and beautiful decoration
-It's very clean
-The rooms have functional facilities, a lot of natural light coming in
-The staff is friendly, professional and try to accomodate requirements
-The spa facilities is very beautiful, clean and quiet, very relaxing
-The breakfast choice is large even though everything seem to be small because it's so well organised, breakfast staff friendly and helpful

Mins:
-Reception management must make sure that always 2 people will be present, during daytime, one person is not enough it put pressure on the staff and on the client which doesn't feel comfortable as well to ask additional questions when there are many people waiting behind you.

-Breakfast staff could clean the tables quicker as soon as the gasts leave even if there are available tables. It's not a good view for the guests, having breakfast looking at dirty tables around them.

We'll surely come back to this hotel next time we go to Dusseldorf
