I travel to Dortmund once or twice each year and always stop for dinner at Bambus Garten Restaurant on Berliner Strasse. The service is always very good, and my favorite item is the "Peking Suppe" which is the European version of hot and sour soup, always bright red translucent, and extraordinarily tasty. Presentation of all dishes is done in an individual and interesting manner. Duck, pork and vegetables are always good. The Friday evening buffet is worth the wait, usually offering everything found on the regular menu. The staff are welcoming and friendly, always prompt and interested in your good dining experience. They also serve a thick, sweet lime-green non-alcoholic drink at the end of each meal. Very nice.
