A wonderful restaurant to enjoy the flavour of what Germany is all about. No frills just good wholesome meals served to spartan tables with wooden chairs. I can only reiterate what other reviewers have already said; the waiters keep you stocked up with beer, marking what you have had on the beer mat, but you can indicate that you either cannot possibly drink anymore or have passed your budget (at €1.50 a glass this is unlikely). Main courses tend to be a remarkably low price, mostly less than €9 with the odd "special" at €14. Another plus for me is that all the prices on the menu are what you pay and include tax etc.
Judging by how quickly the restaurant filled up I am certainly not the only person who enjoys the atmosphere, the food, and the price - I will use this restaurant whenever I am in Cologne.
