There are definitely some Italian gems in the heart of Germany's Cologne, and this was one of them. Take note that this is a cafe - not a smart formal restaurant. The starter portions were so generous that I couldn't even order a main meal for myself, but I definitely had food envy when the other main course arrived - I may have even helped myself to a slice or two of the pizza, which was delicious. Just a note - if you like your pizza crispy, you should make that clear when you place your order as we noticed another couple get rather embarrassingly stroppy about their pizza being too doughy.
