First. Only 3-4 information boards are written in English, otherwise everything is written in German.
It is absolutely amazing the ruins you can view and the sewer line you can walk through. They have 3 D models to show you what they believe the building looked like. Worth the small admission price.

It is not well marked, in a basement under government buildings, but this large group of partly intact Roman buildings shows another side of Cologne. You are walking up close and seeing a large collection of Roman tombs and sculptures, with few tourists except local school groups. We enjoyed the 18 th C cork models of the ancient site, which let you visualize it.

The ruins of the Roman government center, carefully excavated beneath the city hall, was a delight to see. We understand that it’s about to be closed for years for further excavations.

I was very surprised at this. It's not that large and they don't have much in English but I really liked seeing the ancient Roman ruins under the city of Koln. Others may not be as impressed but it didn't cost much at all.

This attraction is like a hidden treasure in Cologne, hardly sign posted or acknowledged from what I could make out.
It only costs 3.50 euro and well worth it. However, all the information about the artifacts and what you are viewing is only in German, apart from one in the main gallery. I consider this the height of arrogance and disrespect I’ve to all foreign English speaking people, they need to fix this!
The ruins are amazing and very I interesting. The walk through the sewer clearly tells you how clever these Romans were- fascinating. Recommend.
