We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The room was huge, very modern and clean with a good bathroom. It lacked coziness and needed somewhere to open 2 suitcases rather than just spread them open on the floor. Normally this would be fine but as the room was so big there was plenty of room to put something, a bench or 2 perhaps or a suitcase rack. We walked there from the station and it took about 10 or 15 minutes. There are some good places to eat nearby, just turn left out of the hotel and walk a couple of blocks. Breakfast was excellent, good variety and plentiful.

This hotel is in a great location just north of the tourist attractions in Altstadt Nord and near to the more local restaurants and bars around Ebertplatz. It is small and friendly with an arts theme to it. It has pleasant, helpful and efficient staff. The buffet breakfast had everything we needed (hot, cold, wet and dry) and there is a nice bar in the evening if you're needing one more kolsh or a glass of wine.

This hotel is quite popular with business travelers, and close the main train station (10 min walk). Not many restaurants to choose from in the blocks nearby, but certainly many to choose from south of the train station, just need to walk. The rooms are sparsely decorated with modern lighting fixtures, shower only. The breakfast buffet offers a really wonderful selection of eggs, sliced deli meat and cheese, fruit, yogurt, and probably the best Brotchen(rolls) I have ever had from a hotel. There is also a full restaurant/bar, but believe they are closed Sunday and Monday.
Since the hotel is an older building, the rooms are not entirely sound proof. The hotel is located on a relatively quiet side street - however, in a room facing the street, one can hear people talking outside, in the hall or on the stairwell. Next time I would choose a room facing the courtyard, but still not in the warmer months of the year, since there is no air conditioning. They did provide a floor rotating fan/ventilator in the room, but it is quite loud and powerful. This means that if you open the window, then there are also chances people are outside smoking. Definitely will stay again, just not in warmer months when I would want the window open. And, I will 2nd the opinion that the beds are more comfortable here than most German hotels.

I would have rated it 5 (have stayed many times) but it was let down on my last visit by bad restaurant service and an exceedingly rude and unpleasant waiter. Otherwise as good as ever - quiet, clean, comfortable and good location

This a lovely hotel, rooms are very clean & spacious and you have a lovely view to the courtyard. We stayed for 6 nights over New Year and the hotel was an excellent base. There are some nice pubs/restaurants very close by in all directions of this hotel. Breakfast was fine, usual cereal & continental choice with some hot items, just enough. The only slight downside is that the bar did not seem to be open in the evening but that could have been the time of year? We paid £65 B & B per night so overall its excellent value plus the beds were amazing!
