We just moved to Köln-Lindenthal and are still finding our way around. Friends invited to go to Salute to celebrate their wedding anniversary and we absolutely loved it. It is a small and charming restaurant. A real hole in the wall (that is very positive for any German reader). There are fresh specials. Their menu contains more than just standard fare Italian but is not an exotic fusion style. The Chorizo and Rocket hors d'oeuvre was tasty and only a little spicy, The pasta tasted fresh made and the smell from the brick oven just wonderful. The wait staff is friendly and attentive but not over bearing. The tables that we saw were fairly small so this is probably not the place for a large party. I have been told that reservations are recommended for dinner. All in all, we will be coming back.
