Just returned from stag do in Cologne, hotel was perfectly located for all of the bars and clubs, right round the corner. Also not a far walk from the Dom.....a gentle stroll with some fresh air always good for a hangover! Lovely staff, great bar. Highly recommend.

You could say that this is quite a regular hotel but it’s so much more. The quality of the hotel is perfect. All rooms and public areas are remarkably clean. Every member of the staff you see is always smiling and greeting, everyone are super attentive. The food at the breakfast was simply amazing when it comes to the quality of the food – everything was prepared in the best possible way and it just tasted perfect! We had a very nice room on the 8th floor, the bed was a little hard but you get a good sleep anyway. They have two sauna’s and a nice area for relaxing (on weekends it’s open from morning until late evening, on weekdays from 17.00 until 22.00 if I remember correctly). The hotel is located in a nice area, 10 minutes or less by walking from the center even though it’s very centrally located. Parking costs 24e per day at the hotel. Couldn’t find any cheaper options on the street to park the car.

All in all, a great option. Will definitely return. Amazing value for such a great level of service!

We went to Cologne to celebrate my birthday and my husband arranged flowers to the room with some help from the hotel. I can really recommend them for additional services as well. It was a great stay and the hotel helped so much!

From the moment we arrived until we departed the following day the hotel did not in my opinion qualify for 5*. The receptionists were very unfriendly and not at all welcoming; I had specifically requested a room with a bath which she completely ignored and when re- requested I was told rooms did not have baths although the website comments differently. The rooms are okay however there are no instructions on the use of the showers; if you don't wish to wash your hair be careful!!
The bar is pleasant and service here okay however the breakfast service was awful. Nobody was at all interested in providing tea or coffee or in replenishing the breakfast selection.
The location is good for walking into town ,visiting the Dom with local restuarant amenities close by.

Room Tip: Check before booking if you require a bath; we were told they were not available although the web site commented otherwise.

The hotel is in a good location and is convenient for tourism and business in the city centre. We had asked for a view of the Dom but were offered a Deluxe room as an upgrade; we decided to take this upgrade. Overall the room was comfortable but was a little on the small side. The bed was very great and the hotel was quiet so we slept well. The Deluxe room had nice French toiletries. The main selling point for us was the breakfast - an amazing spread of food even including Sekt and has good long opening hours on weekends.

I removed a star for three reasons:

1) The room was hot - it seemed to be the floor heating in the bathroom, but we could not turn it off
2) One day we were out all day and the room was not serviced. The housekeeping staff seemed over-worked and had to be asked twice to come and give us new towels and empty our bins
3) I had left a cloth shoe bag on the floor no where near the rubbish bin - it disappeared so was either accidently thrown out or collected up with bed linen when the bed was being changed

I would consider staying here again, but might try and find a place with a larger room.
