Found the tour interesting but as previous reviews the 9 EURO entrance is well overpriced.4 to 5 would be a more realistic price.Lot of reading involved tho last bit more exciting.Should have more interactive activites involving chocolate etc..Great views of the Rhine as well.. If your chocolate mad defo visit....Enjoy

We maybe didn't choose the best day here - it was crowded with school parties.

We enjoyed the factory section best.

The Chocolate Factory and Museum costs 9 euros and at first I thought a bit expensive, but after the initial entrance showing the history of Lindor and Lindt chocolate you enter the actual operating area. Not quite Willy Wonka but interesting. All the machines are stainless steel and you can watch various processes from the chocalate mixer to the packaging of the small Lindor/Lindt chocolate oblongs. The view through the circular glass area to the Rhine is worth a short stop as the factory is on a peninsular. Worth a visit, very interesting. You must buy some chocolate in the shop or you can purchase in a small counter in the opertaing are. My wife and I were there end of Novemeber and one of the seven Christmas markets was on either side if the peninsular.

The chocolate museum covers different aspects to do with chocolate . You see the production of chocolate, visit a tropical green house to see cocoa tree and learn about origin and culture. The culture part went beyond Aztecs and covered 18,19,20th centuries and I learned lots about the latter centuries that I didn't know. Takes about 1.5 hours and then there is shop and cafe.

A bit pricey but worth it. The shop has a good selection of chocolate to buy tho you can get it cheaper elsewhere. The resturant is lovely. Food well presented. Desserts to die for all set within sight of the river. A walk back to the city is both refreshing and pleasant
