The zoo is big, but I didn't really like it that much. Sure, there are many animals in, but the size of the zoo made me bored rather fast.

The zoo is big and you will spend a lot of time here. The animal residents are the big attraction. Large number of animal species to spend time with :) and get educated.
Feeding times of all large animals is well shown if you wish to be there for the feeding.
The zoo is clean and well organized.
Unfortunately not so many signs in English.
The aquarium is just opposite the zoo entrance and although its small compared with the large ones its worth the visit.

The zoo is quite large and you can easily spend a whole day there enjoying the park. From farm animals to large mammals to insects the zoo has a varied collection of species

It has its own tram stop (line 18) and the Seilbahn from the Rheinpark drops you off next to the tram stop. The zoo is also next door to the Botanical garden Flora that is also worth checking.

This zoo is really a great place to spend a day. They have a large variety of animals and also an aquarium. The entrance fee was somewhere around 14 euro, which I found pretty reasonable, especially for all you get to see.

Almost all of the animals were up and active throughout my visit there, which is always nice to see. The way the enclosures are designed allows you to get very close to the animals with great views while still maintaining a safe distance. I got some great pictures while I walked around, and also took a videos of the tigers playing with an old soccer ball and the penguins swimming around playfully. The elephant sanctuary is the largest I've ever seen and takes up a large portion of the zoo. All of the elephants were in the outdoor portion while I was there and seemed to be generally happy.

This was a fantastic way to spend a day for an animal lover like myself. I would definitely return to the zoo if I'm in town again and highly recommend you add it to your trip.
