Great selection of Animals... well laid out.... great price (approx. £18 - cheaper on a Monday I believe). Included the Aquarium in the price too. Spend a GOOD day there.. 12 - 6pm wasn't enough.... lots for kids e.g. Play areas etc.

Not expecting much as this Zoo is based bang in Cologne, how wrong was I??

Reasonably priced at 17.50 Euros for adults & 8.50 kids. The entry process is a little manic and the first few exhibits will lure you into thinking this as terrible as London Zoo.

Once the crowds disperse, you'll discover that you're in possibly the largest, best maintained Zoo in Europe. It really is a beauty. The elephant enclosure is huge and overlooked by a massive kids playgroud that is modelled on features throughout the Zoo.

The array of animals here is far beyond anything we have in the UK, with Bears/Tigers/Lions/Hippos/elephants & hundreds more. Don't miss the aquarium & reptile house which is outside than main gates.

Easily accessable on the Kvb tram system. Only 5 stops from the main 'Dom (Catherdral)' hub.

It's a must is an animal lover, or, travelling with kids.

Fantasic.

I (43) have not been to a Zoo in years!!! Really enjoyed visiting this zoo - need 4-5 hours if you are with kids.
Loved the Giraffe House - there is a baby giraffe to see. The facilities for all the animals look great and the animals seem to be well taken care of!
Playground for the kids if they get bored of looking at the animals - that will definately burn up their energy.
Ate in the restaurant which served decent food at normal prices!!!
Would definately go back again!

We spent four hours at the zoo and really enjoyed the varied and sometimes unusual animals in captivity. The elephant enclosure is immense and the Hippo house full of interesting birds, bats and fish! Take the kids!
