Only in Cologne for 1 day, but we wanted a Cologne Kolsch beer house experience. What a great introduction. Service was super friendly, and the food was increadible. We had the 1 pound bratwurst plate and the pork knuckle, and we couldn't stop eating these monster dishes.

A little modern to feel authentic, but nonetheless an amazing experience.

Ate at this cracker a few times during our 8 night stay in Cologne. The service was friendly (although slow in the daytime) and the food was superb.

This Brewery serves the best Kolsch in Cologne and the Chicken & triple fried chips my wife had were fantastic. I went for the local speciality of Pork knuckle which every bloke must try when visiting Cologne.

The inside of the building is a beautiful tardis of old & new. The downstairs area made me wish I was 15 years younger as it's a smooth looking bar. The toilets are funky and immaculate, with mini screens above the urinals showing the latest Bundesliga game.

If you're visiting Cologne, then go here.

This place has great German cuisine so if you had any doubts about the word "hearty meal" you will find it here. The waiters are dressed in traditional Köln white and blue and deftly move with a friendly style. English is no problem, and as you might read in the other reviews, it is a favorite with tourists. We came with a group of five German/non-Germans and a baby and sat outside. We had great service and the food was very high quality. As a germanophile, I like the traditional foods and I had blood sausage with mashed potatos and apple compote, it was an excellent combo of not too salty and sweet. The beer is fabulous fresh Kölsch from the brewery. I went inside to look around and its a mix of new and old with the cellar bar and booths and TV room. Get there early or make a reservation.
