Good for: Romantic, Large groups, Business meetings, Special occasions
Dining options: Dinner, Late Night, Reservations
Description: Exclusive and easygoing. Japanese dumplings, miso salmon with yuzu turnips, sorbet with Szechuan pepper and traditional nigiris and makis go down very well with the business clientele and Japanese food fans. The dining area is light and airy with cream-coloured furniture. The tables are round and the tableware is exquisite. White man-sized vases provide a striking decorative feature throughout the room. The staff are friendly and will help you choose the right wine and the right sake from a very wide selection available. There is even Japanese beer on the menu.

“Unique dining experience”
Reviewed November 29, 2012

Extremely attentive service at this uniquely decorated restaurant in modern kitsch style. We were even accompanied from the door of the hotel, through the lobby and hallway, up the elevator and into the restaurant. Although it was winter and we dined inside, there is a large deck for al fresco dining with amazing views of the Rhine. The sushi was extremely fresh and varied. There were also several complimentary hors d'oeuvres prior to the main meal, which were delicious, including an oyster gratin. We enjoyed a rather fine pinot noir from the Ahr region with the meal. The restaurant also has a very user friendly on-line reservation system, which we appreciated.

“Fabulous food in beautiful surroundings”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

We had an absolute delightful evening in the Yu sushi club this weekend. The food was simply excellent: very diverse tastes on a plate and a beautiful 7 course meal, while the surroundings added to the beautiful experience. the restaurant is set on the fifth floor of the Kameha hotel, with views of the river Rhine as well as the green surroundings of Bonn. This means when the weather is good, you are in for a pleasant surprise , watching the nice surroundings and various boats passing by: total relaxation. Staff was relatively young, but very very friendly and actually ensuring a light ambience which can sometimes be missing in similar type restaurants. As mentioned, food is simply great and there is a broad variety of choice, from various set menus (two to 7 courses) and a large a la carte section. We felt the price-quality ratio was well set. For a 7 course meal we paid 109euros, but this meant spending a good 3 hours with fab food in a fantastic place. Drinks can add quite a bit to the bill (+90euros for the menu or 9euro per glass), but this can be solved by ordering per bottle (approx 34 to 45 euros for beautiful wines). We were very well advised on the bottle we selected. Also, do not forget to visit the bar next to the river befre or after your visit. It is a very cool place to be with wonderful furniture and great music. And yes, drinks are expensive as several people before me noticed, but I did feel that this great place was very much worth it!

“Authentic and delicious”
Reviewed October 11, 2011

I recommend to CEO sushi set, but I prefer to swap out the miso soup for the bonito broth. The variety of sushi and sashimi presented upon my recent stay was different than last time, all lovely and superb. Plan ahead and reserve - it is a popular place!
