We have eaten here before and sampled the local Schlichte schnapps. If you are lucky a member of the Schlchte family will come amongst the patrons and share some schnapps which was formerly made in a local distillery by her family. The schnapps is still available but I don't think it's made in Steinhagan any more. The restaurant is set in front of an impressive church and the building has its back to the main road so it is quiet. The food is very good and nicely presented and avoids the 'heavy' German cuisine and the portions are manageable.
