Liked - great views from above. Nice restaurant overlooking the greens.
Neutral - not much activities, other than taking pic with the 3 country borders, highest ground of Netherland.

“cool place with cool restaurant.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2014

was there at the start of this month, got there very late (evening) but great place to chill out with friends and family. nice surroundings. not much to do up there so you could hang out at the nearby restaurant for a cup of tea or coffee. free wifi also available at the restaurant.

“Aachen Christmas Market”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2013

We were on our way back home after stopping at the Valkenburg, Holland Christmas market and stopped in Aachen for their Christmas market. Although Aacher is a large city there are plenty of places to visit and the local transporation is very accomodating. We parked out by the Lindt chocolate factory and took the bus in. If you're at this parking lot and the Lindt chocolate factory is open stop by to buy some outstanding chocolate at factory outlet prices. There's also a Bahlsen cookie/chip factory and the Katjes (gummi bear) factory outlet within walking distance.
Aachen has an outstanding Christmas market with booths placed all through the Altstadt. Inviting booths with Christmas wares, food and drink are there to enjoy. If you've had enough of the Christmas market spend some time in the other stores. A great outing in winter with a planned trip next summer to see how the city keeps your senses entertained.

“Fun stop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2013

This was a fun stop. We were able to each be in a different country at the same time. Looks like there is more to do in the warmer months. When we went everything was closed, but we were still able to see the border point. Lots of hiking trails from this point as well.

“Cute Holland Citizen”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2013 via mobile

I took bus from Aachen central to Three Country Border but got lost and when We got off the bus, it was already Holland. Thanks to Holland people, They drove us to the nearest way to the border and indicated how to walk there in 30mins. It's so happy to meet them, they were helpful and cute. One of them was an elderly who gave me a tutorial of there country history!!!!
