We found this place quite accidentally and were quite surprised by its large dinning hall and the rich choice of menus. This traditional restaurant was established in the 18th century and is namely specialised in German food but now managed by a Greek family. Consequently, there is also a choice of Greek dishes. The inside and furniture is in neutral German style and nothing exceptional. Reception is instantly without waiting and so is the service, quick and efficient. Food is just mouth-staggering. After extensive experience in restaurant visits, due to occasional travelling for professional reasons all over the world, I never had tasted such great German food before except in a restaurant in Frankfurt/ Main. The restaurant outside seems innocent, but food is just great. We inquired about the cook and the manager told us, that he is of Indian origin. Honestly, he was more than convincing. The bill was not expensive. In this restaurant we only payed about 45 EUR for food and drink for 3 persons, while in other restaurant not too far away, we had to pay about 60 EUR for the same service for 3 people. In summary, if you are not looking for exceptional surrounding and you just want to have the top of German food, don't miss this place.
