I stayed in this hotel for 10 days in the summer of 2012 right after a two- weeks vacation in Barcelona, Spain. Our room was on the fourth floor, facing the Market Square; a small, round window was near the bed. I loved this room, which had a lot of charm and was very clean and comfortable. The busy square was like a big theatre in front of my eyes, changing at every hour, but there were no noise.

The restaurant offered remarkable fine dining quality at very low prices in comparison to the many restaurants that I had just visited in Barcelona and across Europe. Selection of Baltic fish and the dishes with it were superb. Breakfast at the hotel was also of excellent quality and offered another enjoyable experience.

Parking was tricky, but manageable. And frankly, who would be concerned much about parking in this beautiful city where you can walk all day and enjoy?

This was our third stay at this hotel. Little tricky to find the right way in to the old city. The hotel offers two types of parking, both under ground and at a gated area. No car is needed during a short stay in Wismar. Quick and easy check in, a clean and well equiped room at the third floor. This hotel has a very good breakfast including a zip of sparkling wine if you want so!

We stayed on a weekend that included half board. Rooms are adequate and clean, but lacking proper sound proofing. You could easily hear gusts in the next room when they were talking with normal voice. On the positive side the hotel was quiet after 10 p.m. The location is convenient on the beautiful market square, but there is not much around if you are looking for bars etc. The staff is excellent. Parking in the garage is 13 euro/night and you get 1h free Wi-Fi connection/day.

Breakfast is excellent with a great offering of cold and hot items. The evening meal included in our package was quite bad. Wine list is good and offer some quite unique and very good wines from Germany that you rarely come across outside the country.

Not a very charming hotel on the inside, but convenient location and adequate for a few nights.

I stayed at this hotel 2 nights in August 2012, with my husband.
Very modern hotel hosted in two ancient buildings on the main square of Wismar. The hall is large with a big tv screen and some sofas. The hotel has a restaurant on the square and you can enjoy meals outdoor in the good season
I was assigned a triple room although we were just two so it was very big Wardrobe was a bit narrow, but there were also drawers and we did not have much luggage. Large bathroom with bath tub and shower.
Don’t miss the a nice well run beauty center with sauna, steam bath and Jacuzzi.
My room was on the third floor, overlooking a little alley, so it was quite. Don’t know about rooms overlooking the main square, however the car traffic is forbidden on the square.
Didn’t try the restaurant. The breakfast had a very high price for us (we are Italians, we don’t eat a lot at breakfast) so we preferred to choose one of the several coffee houses in the surroundings. Staff kind, attentive and English speaking.
If you come by car, there is a big free public parking about 200mt from the hotel. Ask at the reception.

We found this hotel to be typically German - clean, well equipped with good service. It is in a good location in the square and a short walk to the harbour. The room was clean, bathroom well equipped and the usual twin beds with single duvets. We ate breakfast in the square at one of the many cafes there.
