This place is incredible, one might argue it is a glorified showroom, but the futuristic design, the attractions and the car museum are just incredible.
When you first go in you get to visit the Company display, not much inspiring, although they do have some really cutting edge museum display techniques (esp. the artificial intelligence program that talks you up). But the most interesting in that bit is the green energy and solutions exhibition. The brainstorming device (mountain, with idea rivers etc.) was impressive, so where the different hi-tech displays.
After that you can visit the oldtimer museum where some gems from the auto industry history are on display, esp some of the oldest cars like the first car by Benz! and some gorgeous Cadillacs and Bentleys.
After that you can visit the different pavilions, the most interesting by far was the Audi pavilion with its futuristic and hi tech displays.
The storage towers are amazing, definitely worth the extra ticket. You get to see some feats of German engineering at work.
Other activities which I didn't have time to try where driving the electric car and to take a drive around their test ring, both of which were probably highly exciting.
Plan for at least 4-5 hours and have comfortable shoes for all the walking.. Fun for all the family.
