Stayed at the Dormero hotel in may. The Hotel looks new, every part of it is very good looking, it has a nice breakfast, and a very reasonable bar. It is a 15 minute walk from downtown and very well located. The rooms are standard, except the fact that all the rooms have two 42 inch TV´s. The other is for TV stations, The one is some kind of a interactive browser. I did not test that thoroughly. Wifi is free, speed could be better. The only question is would i return = Yes, with out a doubt.

Room Tip: I would prefer rooms in "the back".

Have stayed here many times and it is always my first choice when I'm in hannover . The rooms are very clean and modern, free wifi, movies and minibar makes your stay here very relaxing. Comfortable beds and cool design and just a short walk to the city centre. Also the bar next to the lobby is a great place to grab a drink. One small fault is the restaurant is a bit over priced and the food is average but there are lots of other food options close by.

Impressive entrance until you try to deal with reception. They do not seem to be interested in anyone. 2 lifts that work very slowly stairs are not signed. Rooms Formica cladded. 2 tvs but only one worked. Internet access slow. I really do not see the need of the light show. Beds are excellent, air con noisy but you can open the window which is a plus. Good bar and good service but not for a quite drink. Restaurant ok.

Overall very impressed with this hotel. A fresh and new take on in-room services. As many other reviewers have mentioned, each room has a video "wall" with a selection of complimentary entertainment services.
Also included in the tariff is the mini-bar items (not many but includes beer!), wireless access (slow but functional as per most hotels these days) and webcam hire for Skype (didn't work for me)

On paper, this all looks great, however most of the entertainment suite didn't really work very well with VERY slow navigation through the menus and I was completely unable to access Skype to "phone-home".

The lighting system in the rooms is confusing, with multiple ways of turning the lights on and off and multiple colours (yes, that's right, colours??!!).

Having said all that, the room was a good size with dual-sinks in the modern and very well decked-out bathroom.

Reception staff all wear corporate polo-shirts which I guess is aiming at being a "funky" modern hotel. Not sure it suits here though. Possibly due to the language barrier, they also seemed a little disinterested.

Breakfast buffet has a HUGE selection of very nice food

You know the Dormero Hotel is aiming at tech from the moment you pass your RFID key card by the door lock. Once you enter, the dual flat screens dominate one end or the room. The lights are operated by a switch and relay system that lets you decide which lights are on, and what color they are. There's a video tutorial available that's worth seeing so you can operate the room. I found that in some cases it's possible to get the lighting system confused, which can then require you to pull the key card out of the socket by the door to reset things. The room is Internet enabled, there's a minibar, built-in Skype, excellent audio and comfortable beds. The minibar, Internet access, WiFi and even iPad rental are free. This is a very nice hotel, and one I'd stay in again.

Great hotel for those who like something a bit more funky, fresh and finished to a good standard. Didn't give it 5* as the internet was broken but if you stay here you'll love playing with the room lighting and TV sound system!

Restaurant and bar looked nice although went out in the centre to eat so cannot comment in the standard. Just a 5-10 min walk from the centre which is good and parking is plenty!
