I think this Hotel is a little bit expensive but the quality of the rooms, general place and polite staff are worth it.
Inside is quiet and tidy.
There's no best option if you're going to fly next morning
The use of elevators are validated with your card key, so you cannot visit any other floor than yours, neither friends staying on different floors.
The only drawback I found was the price for dinner, 39 Euros for a Christmas Buffet was simply too expensive, it included some alcoholic drinks like beer (worth it) and a Red wine I'd only use for cooking. Variety wasn't strong point either.
I'll visit this Hotel next time, but look for dinner somewhere else.

I love this Hotel, it is big, clean, spacious. The rooms are large and quiet. It has a few restaurants, the main restaurant does an absolutely wonderful Buffet Dinner in the evening... really a huge selection of foods, everything tasty and fresh and constantly refreshed and kept in order by a few chefs, ... the breakfast buffet is also the BEST... everything you can want, and most of all what I liked is that you could make yourself a lovely BIG HOT POT of tea an take it to your table, no poxy coffee cup and lukewarm water like so many other hotels do !!
It has a nice big proper closed off bar which is nice in the evenings with a large variety of beers to try, import and local. The Bar is smoking, so good for the smokers, bad for non smokers..shame really because it makes it smell. Serves good bar food.
Reception is courteous, efficient and pleasant. Compare this to the dull and lifeless Holiday Inn across the road with their slovenly staff and rude behaviour... why would you choose otherwise for the same price and with the Maritim you get what you pay for and more.. the full package. Also has nice swimming pool room and sauna spa.Big (huge) spacious main lobby running the inside length of the hotel and a roof height of about 4 storeys with early mans full size aeroplanes hanging from the roof ! - you can't not like the place.

We were staying at the airport so the location was the most important. The hotel is also close to the subway which was convenient. The rooms are in good shape but there are very few power plugs as another reviewer noted. The staff was less than great. Not very fast or particularly nice. The price is just fine too. The internet was also a bit pricey. All in all, I would stay here again but wouldn't be very excited about it. Rooms were a little too warm at night and temp adjustments didn't seem to do anything.

This is a very poorly run but physically attractive hotel. The room is small clean and very poorly lit, there are very few power outlets (I unplugged the TV to use my computer), temperture is controlled by opening the window to cool the room resulting in listening to traffic all night.
Asked for iron - not available. I was told to go to the the "ironing room" on the fourth floor, two irons but only one worked. Very hot and dirty in room. The reason there are no irons - "for your safety". To use the ironing room you have to get a key to sccess the 4th floor from the front desk - your room key will only let you use the elevator for your floor. Forget about seeing a colleague in their room on a different floor. Take the stairs? Sorry there are no staires for use without setting off an alarm. When was the last time you were in a hotel that did not have stairs?
Internet? Sure but with the common (in Europe) charge. What hotel in the US would have the nerve to charge for internet access? Only downtown overpriced hotels. Budget hotels in the US provide this.
Considering the price they were charging and the business people they cater to this is not apprevciated,
Buffet dinner was expensive but fairly well layed out.
All in all if you have to stay here for use at the airport you are stuck. If there is an option take it.

Room Tip: Another hotel - seriously

During the last months I stayed a few times here. Rooms overage, but ok. Service very good, nice staff. Very good and nice restaurant, good food. Parking direct across the gate. also good place for conferences. Overall I rated Very good because of the value you get for money and the good Puilly Fume at the restaurant !

The staff was very friendly and the room was overall pretty good. I was surprised to find the room look a bit old fashioned, but it has all you need, unless you need more than one power outlet on the desk (that was definitely missing).

The bathroom was clean and overall good.

I had a good deal for the overnight stay and if you don't need breakfast, that's hard to beat. Breakfast however was very expensive (19 Euro) and also Internet access at 15 Euro for 24h I find not acceptable anymore these days.

I had dinner in the restaurant and the food was very good at decent prices.

If you are on a business trip and want something near the airport, this Maritim is hard to beat. Just don't expect much of a personal touch.

I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights during Hannover Messe. All of the hotels in the city center was full, so this was the only hotel we were able to find. It was also very expensive.

Besides that, the hotel was a decent one. Being an airport hotel, we can even call it a place to stay. The rooms were big enough for 2 people to accomodate easily. The furnitures doesn't look new but in good condition. There is wired internet available in the guest rooms. The breakfast was good and tasty.

The hotel and the airport is connected to the Hannover city center and messe area via train. It takes nearly half hour to reach the city. The trains are not going back after midnight. You should take a cab and pay a lot of money to go back to your hotel.

I would advice you to stay here if you can not find another one in the city.
