The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived late for dinner. We were really happy to find the place still open with the possibility to host a big group. The owner wasn't so friendly and kind while taking the orders. The food was fine but the lack of courtesy did play the biggest role.

I first visited this restaurant in 1997. Imagine my surprise to find it still in the same building and serving the same, delicious food nearly 16 years later!
The chicken and lamb vindaloo were both superb with beautifully seasoned sauces, where you could taste the ingredients, rather than just having a mouthful of "hot". The meats were also tender, not always a given. Pickles and other accompaniments were tasty and the poppadums were crisp. My spinach and potato side dish was, sadly, on one occasion rather under-spiced and on the other rather oily, but both times tasty.
Service is attentive and prompt.

I am surprised to see this place not being listed earlier. Of the various Indian restaurants in Hannover, this is consistently been the best one we have been to. In summer, sitting outside where the playground and rollerblading area is is a great place to be.

There is excellent variety in the dishes - mostly North Indian cuisine as expected - and the quality and quantity are both excellent. A minor pointer - as for 'middle spicy' - it is really NOT spicy but the best way to get the flavors of the food. Asking for mild results in too basic a taste.

Great Mango lassi & great naans complement the food very well

For food lovers: Good place with good and tasty food. Lot of flavors in the air, and spicy food.

So what's the problem? Well. We arrived 14:30 for late lunch, unknown of closing time at 3PM. That was the mistake. The food was almost thrown into our faces, and despite the younger waiters attempts to save the situation the boss tried to hurry us up to eat quicker, due to closing time. No dessert, nor tea or coffee. A disaster. Maybe he had bad day, definitely we did afterwards.
