Novum Hotel Wiesbaden City
Ranked #12 of 45 Hotels in Wiesbaden

You could not ask for a better location in Wiesbaden. This hotel is near the pedestrian zone, many great restaurants and casino. The hotel and room are basic but clean and the staff was very friendly. Hotel has a parking garage for a fee.

Stayed here our last 2 nights of trip for ease to Frankfurt Airport despite no recent ratings. Weekend rate of 64E did not include breakfast, which we had at nearby Starbucks for 10E for two. Hotel is 1 1/2 miles from rail station; otherwise, excellent location near extensive pedestrian shopping, restaurant area. Very clean, well-equipped room and tiny bath with hairdryer: looks like hotel pics. Comfortable mattress. I would ask for exterior room, as ours faced inner courtyard with no outside access - fire consideration. We used the 24-hour snack shop facility for coffee and draft beer, which we took to our room. Staff helpful: made taxi reservation to airport (40E). The Accor website had also offered a 39E non-cancellable rate when I booked 4 months ahead. Frankfurt is 40 mins. by train.
Will be using some IBIS hotels in future if convenient.

My wife and I stayed at the Ibis for one night as a home base for a day of R&R at the Aukamm Thermalbad. There was a nice European breakfast buffet for 9.50 Euros--yogurts, cereals, cheeses, cold cuts, nice rolls and hot hard boiled eggs It was clean and convenient--close to some good ethnic restsurants and Wiesbaden attractions--about a 20 minute stroll through a nice city park to the pool complex. Parking is an adventure as a car elevator is used to get your car to the hotel's specifific floor and there are limited spaces. Full-size cars JUST fit--watch your rearview mirrors! Friendly staff. Overall, a pleasant, inexpensive place to stay.

A small hotel in a good location. I selected this hotel based upon its’ location and value. I’ve stayed at two other Wiesbaden Hotels in the past but their prices had more than doubled for this tourist season.

Even though I had stayed less than 100 meters away in the past I did not even know this hotel existed. It has a small sign and a single, small entry door. Without GPS I would have had a hard time finding it, even then, it took a trip around the block to find the parking garage entrance.

The parking garage has a vehicle elevator to move you to the appropriate floor. This is a self-serve maneuver and is no problem if you have a small vehicle. With my rental vehicle it took a fair amount of back and forth work to get into and out of the elevator. You will also be charged a daily fee for use of the parking garage, but parking on the crowded streets is not really an option.

The front desk staff is very nice, the single, small elevator adequate and the rooms functional. The rooms are typical budget German hotel rooms, frequented by business people and vacationers on a budget.

While my room was small and sparsely furnished, it was clean and quiet. I looked out onto an interior courtyard and directly into the offices of the workers across the way. The air exhaust units for the building are directly below; in the courtyard so having your window open is a noisy proposition.

There is a low-priced breakfast buffet that is well stocked with a variety of meats, cheeses, breads, and fresh fruit. You won’t find any waiters or menu, just an all you can eat buffet for under $10 Euros.

If you want to be in the heart of old Wiesbaden, and don’t feel like paying triple the cost for any of the other options in downtown, this is the hotel for you.

Stayed here in April 2003. Small but decent and CLEAN rooms. My room overlooked the plaza in front of hotel. The parking gagage under the hotel is interesting trying to get the car into the elevator and down.
Staff is friendly and helpful..breakfast buffet is
all cold items but many varieties and all fresh (9euro).. Furnishings seemed new.
Location is convenient at the corner of the pedestrian precinct. It is easy to find when you drive to the hotel.
Rates are verygood and a true bargain.
