I took the furnicular on a hot afternoon when the crowd was thin. It's the best way to go up and down the Neroberg hill. The cool breeze and greenery was delightful. The furnicular is powered by some water principle although I'm not exactly sure how.

Great little find and way to access Neroberg rather than drive up. The funicular is operated by water and it was fascinating to see it fill up and empty. A lovely little journey through the shade of the trees to the top of the mountain. You can even stand on the driver plate rather than sit in the quaint carriages - great fun.

Well worth taking the funicular. Great views. Plan to spend at least an hour at the top to take in the views, atmosphere and sites. There's a café, garden temple, activity area (adults and nearby children's grounds), Russian church, WWI monument and outdoor swimming pool.

This is a highlight when you come to visit wiesbaden. it offers a wonderful view over Wiesbaden. Make some time in Summer for the Opelbad.

A fab experience, reasonably priced, and a better (and lazier) way to reach the top! Amazing to watch the two carriages overlap on ascent and descent.
