Take a ride on the fenicular, get to the top of the hill and enjoy a great view of Wiesbaden. Nice little cafe, WWI memorial, open air ampitheather, round trip costs around 5 Euro.

This is really fun to travel. In addition, the water driven tramway will bring you up to the highest point at the back of the city. Going upwards, during the ride, you should look at the right and watch the hidden villas; There are also modern villas build by a well known local price-winning architect. The whole tram ride only takes a few minutes but its worthwhile and a good alternative to walking up the hill which requires good muscles.

A fun ride on a very old train, a spectacular view of a very pretty city, and a nice walk through the woods on the way down. When you get down, walk through the great park that starts at the base.

It was a very short trip up but it was fun and we were the only passengers on the train up and with another 2 ladies on the way down. In hindsight we should have bought the 1 way ticket up and walked down as it seems to be very short so the walk is probably very easy. We enjoyed the funicular, its about Eur3.30 for 2 ways and Eur 2.50 for one way.
