We had a great stay at this little hotel on the Rhein. It was very roomy with a sitting room facing the river and a balcony you could sit on and enjoy the view. Breakfast was good - delicious hot chocolate! Very friendly staff. The location was also great - easy walk from the train station and just a block away from Drosselgasse - the famous street with all the wine bars. Old Town was just around the corner with a quick walk through to catch the cable car.
I would say the only downside would be if you are a very light sleeper the RR tracks are right across the street next to the river. No horns but you could hear the train. It didn't bother us - the sitting room gave enough of a buffer, but just something to be aware of.

Room tip: I don't think I will ever give a European hotel a high sleep quality as I HATE duvets!!! But if you like them, add another point to the quality of sleep.

Returned again this year as we have always enjoyed our stays here.
Rode straight to the car park at the rear of the hotel and was met at the back door, with the usual cheery welcome.
Typically for a family run hotel the staff are very accommodating and you are made to feel instantly comfortable.
The rooms are as clean as ever and the facilities as excellent.
This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful little town, that I would highly recommend to anyone.

Room tip: There is a train line that passes across the front of the hotel, so the rooms with the view of the Rhein, also get the train line. Didn't bother me in the slightest, but if you think it will disturb your beauty sleep, get a room at the back.

We arrived here on a busy Friday afternoon and were greeted by a welcoming staff, Clara was extremely helpful in getting us settled and orienting us to the area. Room 4 was perfect, large suite with great balcony facing the Rhein perfect for people and cruise ship watching. Hotel is located in the center of this charming town, easy access to all the sites. Hajo's personally assisted us in parking our car. The hotel bar had live music that night, very fun. This hotel exceeded our expectations for a "3" star property. Hope to return!

Dear Guest,
we thank you very much for your review! We feel happy when guests like the hotel with all its facilities such as the Irish Bar and the provided live music on some week-ends. We like it to have such nice guests as you have been, that's why we are going on with the family tradition in running the hotel of our ancestors. We hope to welcoming you another day as our guests and wish you all good. See you soon!

Glad to see a couple of good reviews for this place, stopped here a couple of times now and I have been thoroughly satisfied with the standard of the hotel and the service it provides. Yes there's a rail track to the front of the hotel, but I cant say it bothered me in the slightest, it certainly didn't disturb me.
The bar is a nice place to have a drink in the evening (there was live music the night I was there).
Obviously all reviews are subjective, but I feel that some of the criticisms levelled at this hotel are unfounded, no this isn't a 5 star, slick city hotel, but certainly a pleasant enough place to stay.
I will be staying there again next year as I pass through Ruedesheim.

Dear Guest,

thank you for the nice words. We are very happy when the guests like what we provide (family runned hotel with Irish Pub and sometimes live music). This makes us knowing that we are doing well. Of course we can't do anything against the rail track in front of the hotel, but we try to do everything that guests feel good when they stay here. We hope to welcoming you again as our guest at the hotel!

We stayed here for one night and found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful, we enjoyed the live music in the Irish bar downstairs and had a fun night. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the buffet breakfast lovely!

The next morning as we were about to leave we encountered trouble with our car. This is when the staff really did come into their own. They could not have been more helpful!! They helped with finding phone numbers, translating, finding someone who can look at and hopefully fix our car, and even picked my husband up from the garage after the breakdown truck had dropped him off. They also offered to drive us to the hire car firm!!!

I would recommend this hotel to any one who enjoys a relaxed atmosphere!!

Dear Guest,

thank you very much for your nice review. We are always happy when we can help someone being in trouble. This is a matter of course for us. As we are residents whe know a lot of people and places, so it is no problem for us at all to help guests while they are staying here. We are happy when they keep us in a good memory. Hope to see you again one day, and hopefully without car trouble (but in any case, we know what to do ... )!
