“Take with you a lot of time...and do not expect much.”
Reviewed July 25, 2011

The only reason that I am giving this restaurant two stars is due to the fact that the service team was very friendly.
It all began by the reservation having been forgotten. Fortunately, a table was leaving within the next few minutes, and we only had to wait about fifteen minutes to be seated. This should have been taken as a warning for the whole evening.
From the time that we order until the appetizer came, a whole hour had passed. I had ordered the "Fleischeslust on Fire". It is listed as having a "firey" tomato-date chutney. When I see "firey", I tend to think spicy, and there was nothing spicy about the dish: it tasted like a can of stewed tomatoes...without salt, pepper, or any spices. Furthermore, it was served cold. A friend had a different appetizer that was still frozen in the middle. This after an hour of waiting.
To make matters worse, we waited another hour from the appetizer until the main dish. I had ordered the Yankee Burger. It, like the appetizer, was served cold: it tasted like a grilled patty that had been pulled out of the refrigerator, slapped on a bun with cold condiments, and then placed on the plate. The saving grace - the fries were fresh and hot.
The remainder of the party's meals received mixed review...the main comment was, "They should be given another chance."
In my opinion, with the high prices that are charged, and the elite air the restaurant is trying to portray, this was their chance. (And as a side note, the acoustics are horrible, it is extremely loud.)

“A fantastic restaurant....”
Reviewed April 9, 2011

The Fleischeslust is casual dinning with lots of surprises. The wine list is excellent, but so are lots of others........however, the totally excel with the enormous range of cocktails available. It is page after page all freshly prepared at a not unreasonable costs from 7 euros. The food is excellent and the steak brought over from Ireland was magnificent as was the tuna and beef (stacked separately) tartar. The burgers are good and the fish looked excellent.

Suggest you order extra side dishes such as vegetables.......as they're worth it, but not over generous in size.

I can thoroughly recommend the restaurant........a great find for casual dining.
