Description: What makes the Tiger-Gourmetrestaurant special, its walls adorned with valuable antique posters from the heyday of variety, is its elegant simplicity. You'll find no frivolous vanity here - all the focus is unassumingly placed on the art of dining. Moreover, the gourmet restaurant retains a welcoming atmosphere, cleverly combining chic and casual for a venue that simply breathes good taste. In addition to sampling Christoph Rainers modern and cosmopolitan kitchen, guests delight in our comprehensive wine list, featuring over 1000 choice vintages. The Michelin Guide has yet to award a star to another theatre restaurant - a status we've maintained since 1997. In November 2013, the Tiger-Gourmetrestaurant becomes part of the gastronomic Champions League and is awarded with two Michelin stars. Christoph Rainer confirmed the 2 stars from Guide Michelin now again in November 2015.

“What a rip off”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2012

We won free tickets for a show incl. dinner. Free dinner? Sounds great! But actually the (mediocre) dinner was not for free because they rip you off with the drinks. Cheapest white wine on the list was over 40 Euros. Simple bottle of water (and they keep pouring it into your glasses!) 9 Euros. Unpleasant experience.

“Some of Best Food I have eaten in Germany”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2011

THis restaurant is part of the Tigerpalast venue so you can eat dinner and follow it with a show. My expectations were fairly low but I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was here. We were a private party of around 50 people but we had Michelin standard cuisine, the quail starter was great, the Beef fillet was excellent and the desert was sublime. Service was excellent and the show wasn't bad either.

“Very good restaurant and shows”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2011

Tigerpalast offers a combination of a very good restaurant with a varieté show. The artists of the show are all high caliber - you can think of it as a muchh smaller version of cirque du soleil, but of similar quality. The tickets for the show are quite pricey (around 100 EUR) as is the restaurant. But food quality and service are excellent.

“Some say this is Frankfurt's Best.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2009

This restaurant is unique because it is really three different facilities on one property.

First is the theater and this features all sorts of special shows and acts, from musicals to magic shows. The seating is intimate and the shows very popular.

Second is the Bistro restaurant, which is often combined with the theater shows for groups. A cellar space with a fine bar and exellent food and service, this is where most diners go if they visit the Tiger P.

Third, but not least, is the top of the line gourmet restaurant which has one Michelin Star and a reputation for excellent cuisine...perhaps the best in Frankfurt. Seating is comfortable, service excellent and the wine list is, well, fabulous in content and price.

Over the last few years, I have dined at Tiger P, three times in the restaurant and once in the Bistro. On all occasions, the food and service has been worth the price. In March 2009, a three or four course (I can't recall how many), dinner with three wines for one person cost about 250 Euros, which at exchange rates at that time was about $375 US.

Later the same weekend a dinner for four with a few wines, dessert and four or five courses totaled about 925 Euro, or about $1400, or $350 each with a modest tip. Even by New York, Washington DC or Los Angeles prices, this is a steep fare and one can spend a great deal more here by selecting the full menu and top wines. A fancy dinner for four can easily top $1000 per person. Still, the place is heavily booked and getting a reservation is not always possible, no matter whom you know.

Is it worth that kind of money? Who knows? Some people spend it on food and wine, others spend it elsewhere. Whatever.

If you plan to go, book well in advance and enjoy your evening.

Possibly the best gourmet restaurant in Frankfurt with 6-course menu which doesn't put you to sleep. Extremely romantic if you manage to get one of the booth for 2. Dining here is like taking a journey to heaven and back!
