hyped as the place to be seen infrankfurt, it displays a nice ambiente though not like a british gentleman club of genuinely worn leather and wood but rather the faked american version, but still relaxed and stylish.
my friends, Pampered by the good Indian cuisine of london had The Whole Tandoori Spring ChickenThe Magnificent Mango Madness and
Chicken with Mango Curry and Basmati Rice. They assured that it was not only well presented but also authentically tasting.
I had a fling with a ribeye steak, USDA grade it was advertised, well, what can you ask from a frozen piece of meat .. the curry vegetables as a side order were good though, the side fries were nondescript. but for 40 EUR this dish should have been better. and a far cry fom the Smith and Wollensky's level
wine list: nice names but when we wanted to start with a bottle of champagne the one chosen from the list was not available, the waiter admitted that they were out of stock for a large part of the bordeaux on the list as well. Having asked for some advice there came only superficial ramblings by the waiter.
asked for the somelier,he confessed there is non in this etablissement.
the opening of the champagne was a horror, he wiggled the cork out by holding the bottle with 2 hands then explosing the cork with the 2 thumbs. the whole restaurant fell dead quiet.
Service: my business partner asked politly if they could bring chopped onions to the Indian dish. the immediate answer was that they have no chopped onions. (probably they had no knive to cut it either)
given that we spent over 400 EUR for a lunch of 3 persons (1 bottle of cahmpagne 3 water, 3 plates, no hors d'oeuvre, no desserts, no coffee) and given their ultra-high aspirations: a clear disappointment.
