“the best thing of the hotel was the way out of there”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2011

one world to describe it: terrible!!
the welcome was all the brothels around. at the reception the guy couldn't find our booking. the breakfast was included but he said we would need to pay 5 euros more. when we arrived at our rooms, the surprise: the beds had just been used and the rooms were not clean! even our 3 years old kid, who is used to travel around, was scared. the ashtrays were dirty, the carpet was just a catastrophe, at the corridor there was a sign written: "get laid downstairs"...
the hotel is supposed to be 3 stars but can't have not even one. it's really the worst place I've ever seen.
we didn't stay there, we gave the keys back and left.

Yes it seems covenient budget hotel near to the center with parking, breakfast an free wifi. But believe me it is so dirty that you cannot even think about changing your cloths. None of the plugs works. We found a half glass of coke with four cigarettes dipped in when we opened the drawer. The adault club next door causes such a noise that you cannot sleep. Worse than a nightmare.

The best ting you can say of this hotel is that it's cheap, has wi-fi included in the price and serves a reasonable breakfast.
Otherwise both the property and the furniture are all weared down, and the bed was especially uncomfortable. So much for the "luxury appartment" I had ordrerd. The location is not very central, but what a neighborhood: Lots of sex clubs and Germany's most classical brothel in the house next door.
If you have a choise, choose another hotel!

Good riverside location: 10 min walk to shopping district Zeil, 7 min walk to Sachsenhausen village district. Located next to brothel, but does not affect hotel. Newly renovated room, but very bad internet wifi reception (despite website saying free internet). Bad TV reception. Basic cleanliness only. I was able to check in early and check out late (14:00) for free. Good value for money for a 2 Star hotel.

Arrived at 22.30 on a Saturday night to a locked front door. Rang bell but there was noone there. Went to side door and eventually saw a note asking late arrivals to ring a number. We did this and were told where to find our key.

The Hotel price was very cheap...a room for 3 including continental bk was 66€.
We had a room for three. Good size. Very clean. Serviced everyday. Traffic very noisy. Beds clean and comfortable. Rather shabby, curtains hanging down, some lights broken. Only German channels on TV. Weather was warm, but no air conditioning.

Breakfast room very pleasant. Breakfast was a good continental standard. Juices, cereals, meats, yoghurts, fruit, eggs, choice of bread and rolls with butter and choice of jams.

Staff were helpful and pleasant without being overly friendly.

Location. Very convenient to main shopping street Zeil(5/6 minutes walk), and main nightlife Sachenshausen, (5/6 minutes walk).
The hotel adjoins some sort of Lapdancing club, but it is the only one in the immediate area and has really no bearing on the hotel.
The hotel is fine for a group but I would not go there if I wanted to take my partner on a romantic city break.

The hotel is well take care for a family...the breakfast is amazing..best than all French hotels I've ever been ... and its really cheap a good deal for travelers.

We stayed in 4 people so the room become a bit small but it's really clean and tidy...nice decoration.

The hotel is great !! I recommended it!

The Hotel Central Frankfurt was an old hotel (mid 1910's) that was recently remodeled from the floor up when Germany hosted the World Cup a few years back.

The front desk is courteous and available for your every whim. They are also the bartenders and waiters in the hotel restaurant... which makes things a little complicated when it's a packed house during meal-time.

The rooms are misleading as you think you are getting a tiny room but rather once you walk in you are greeted with a much larger room than expected. The beds, however, are much MUCH too soft... literally folding in half when sat upon by a girl weighing no more than 110 pounds.

The only problem that could be encountered here is... the hotel is located in the middle of the Red Light District of Frankfurt. Meaning that a few doors down is a brothel, across the street is a brothel, and a few doors up is another brothel. And crackheads are walking around at leisure partaking of their drug.... AT ALL HOURS!!! My family and I were enjoying our breakfast as we noticed to druggies smoking crack right "next" to us outside the window! So if you have small children, please take notice.

Other than that it's a great hotel with great comfort.
