“internet didn't work at 4th floor”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

the hotel is in a good location, close to submay station and to the central station.
there is an excellent breakfast buffet for only 6 euros/person.
Good price for a city like Frankfurt. The only problem is that internet was really slow and didn't work at all at the room we stayed, in the 4th floor.

This is awesome and still cheap hotel close to major places in city. Very friendly receptionist, good quality of breakfast. Nice Persian carpets in rooms. Multilingual receptionist. Free and convenient parking.

We went there for Frankfurt marathon. 49 euros for a double room. It is located in the main street, so it's easy to find. The room is small but nice enough. There is a bus stop nearby and it takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the metro station.
You've got everything inside the room, disposable slippers, washing products and even an iron and an ironing board. There is not electric heater, however.
The reception is a polite young boy.
One not so good thing about it is that there aren't many restaurants and cafes nearby.

The photos on the hotel Arosa website are fairly misleading. The rooms look bright, clean, and sunny. However the truth is the rooms are dank and FULL of dust and dirt! When I was searching for an outlet, I came across dust bunnies the size of rats! The sheets were stained (but I believe washed). The bathroom was so small that in order to close the door, I had to sit sidesaddle (and I'm only 5 feet tall!). However, the staff were ultra-friendly and there was free wifi and parking. The hotel lies right across a tram stop. Takes about 9 mins to the central station. I think I could have found a better value in Frankfurt. At least a slightly cleaner one...So if you don't mind a bit of squalor, this place could be good for people who want free wifi and need parking. I paid 68€ per night.

the service is very good, very friendly and helpful staff. Technically the place is not up to date, but you won't get this for this price. You have elevator, ac etc. There is noice from the road, but you can keep the window closed and use the ac.
The breakfast buffet has something for everyone.
Only venere is misleading offering the hotel with a map showing it in close vicinity to the train station. That's not ok. Check the adress on an independant map site!

Hotel is located in the Gallus area of Frankfurt and so is convenient for the Messe. It can be reached from the main station by S-Bahn (1 stop Galluswarte) + 5 min walk, or by trams 11 and 21 more or less directly to the front door. There is also a direct tram to the Commerzbank arena. Plenty of eating and drinking possibilities around towards Galluswarte station. Best to try and get a room at the back of the hotel as the hotel is on a busy main road with lots of traffic and trams. Hotel is spotlessly clean. The owners obviously tak a lot of pride in their hotel. Rooms are basic but perfectly adequate for a short stay over in Frankfurt. Hotel has good free internet available.
