Owner description: The Commerzbank-Arena stands on the site of its great predecessor – the legendary Frankfurt Waldstadion. It forms an integral part of German sporting history and has always been the focal point of life in the region. The Waldstadion has gone through many changes in the past and has now, at the start of the new millennium, been completely refurbished and given a new strategic concept. The fantastic sportsmen who have played here and the spectacular football matches that have taken place are never to be forgotten. The new arena was built for sports, concerts, business events and all kinds of large gatherings. Depending on the event, it can hold up to 55,000 spectators – multi-functionality is an important aspect. The exact circumference is 860 metres; the length is 210 metres and the width 190 metres. No pillars obstruct direct view onto the pitch and the front rows are only a few metres away from the edge of the field.

“Great place to watch football”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

Saw Eintracht play Dusseldorf. If you are a football fan this is the way to watch the game. Arriving near the stadium over an hour before kick-off gave us time enjoy the "Bundesliga pre-match" bratwurst & lots of beer. The stadium itself is superb & with a near capacity 52,000 attendance the atmosphere was fantastic & noisy throughout the game. This was no doubt helped by the constant flow of beer that the fans appear to consume. Despite this, & away supporters mixing with home fans, we never saw any trouble before, during or after the match. As a keen football fan in England it made me realise we have a lot to learn from the Bundesliga.

“football match”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

You must visit the stadium which also has a football museum.
We were lucky enough to see Eintracht play in a packed stadium.Tickets very cheap compared to the UK. Fantastic stadium, spacious seats, great view, and a tremendous atmosphere.
