I walked along here on several occasions, particularly enjoying the atmosphere on two warm evenings when the bank was crowded with young people enjoying picnics and watching the more strenuous on roller blades or paddle boarding on the river.
I only visited one museum, the Staedel, but looked at the sculptures and design of several of the other buildings.
The views of the skyline across the river are great, particularly when the lights come on.

We were visiting Frankfurt for one night and just happened up on this festival in the evening. It was amazing to see so many people along both sides of the river. There were food booths set up and lots of live music. Be sure to pack an umbrella and plenty of extra cash. You'll also need some spare change to use the toilets (where you can expect a long line). The food was just so/so and it wasn't cheap but the sights and sounds are what kept us there for 2 hours. It's definitely worth checking out!

A great range of museums all within a stones throw; architecture, sculpture, local history, the Bible? - it's all there
