“Good Hotel close to main train station”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2013

This is my 3rd visit to Frankfurt and I have found a good hotel at a good price close to the main train station. I will return to this hotel the next time I am in Frankfurt. I travel by train so the location is perfect.
The check-in and check-out was very friendly and professional. The hotel is renovated in a modern design. The rooms are comfortable with a big flat screen TV and air-conditioning. The breakfast buffet was very good; the room very clean and the food well presented and refreshed as needed. The bio yogurt was the best we had all trip. Yummy! Free wifi worked well. This is a no frills hotel, very good for a short stay.

The Motel One was our first stop in Germany! It's a quick walk (even with suitcases) from the main hauptbahnhof. The staff were ok, not overly warm - but we quickly realised that's just the way Germans are!

The room was very modern with a lovely window overlooking some trees. The bathroom was one of the best we had with a great shower and good toiletries provided.

The highlight of this hotel was the breakfast spread though. Included in your room fee is their buffet breakfast served from 7am till 10am weekdays and it is GOOD. Lots of cold meats (salami, ham, turkey, chicken), eggs, bacon, sausages, fresh bread, pretzels, pastries, cereals, fresh fruits, sliced vegetables (capsicum, cucumber etc), muesli, yoghurts and more. There's also a proper coffee machine where you can make yourself a takeaway cappuccino if you like!

The only slight downer on this place is the location. It's great if you're there for one of the many expos, as it is so close to many of the venues, however we felt it was a little bit out of the main hustle/bustle for us. Although it is only a 15 minute walk to the city centre where the mall is.

Nice modern small hotel with convenient location close to Main Train Station. Breakfast is OK but not excellent. Clean room with comfortable bed. Bathroom is nice. Slightly noisy as it is on a main street but acceptable.

It is a good hotel for business trips but not for touristic ones. The room was big enough, well decorated, nice bathroom, and a big flat TV. It was clean, windows opens to a crowdie street but when they are closed you here nothing (there is AC so do not need to open them). The breakfast was enough good.
The hotel is close to the train-station, so ideal for train travelers but if you travel by your car the hotel has no parking place and the public parking places in the street are always occupied (really hard to find one and if you are lucky to find one leave the car there till your check out). Besides, the hotel is placed in a really bad neighborhood and you will have nightmares about your car and what you have inside it. There are several sex-clubs in the neighborhood and w h o r e s walking around in the evening, so not recommended to the families.
The personals were good, polite but as hotel has no restaurant they could not recommend us a restaurant close to the hotel !!
In one world, an ideal place for BUSINESS trips when using TRAIN.

Small and new hotel next to the Frankfurt business district. Very clean, modern and stylish. Excellent breakfast buffet and kind and effective staff. Wifi REALLY works (typing from room in 3rd floor right now) and price is very reasonable. Highly recommended on business trip.

Bliss is a rather good hotel near the Hauptbahnhof. Is very convenient to reach from the airport. The district is specific ( sure, you can avoid to go through the Red Light District ( which is dirty), there are many other possibilities ( walking through the business disctrict, which is perfectly clean and nice, U-Bahn, S-Bahn, all only 2 stops from the very center). The surrounding in it's self is bizarre, full of Magrib and Afrika emigrants, only 100 mtr away is a place where the social service feeds poor and homeless people, so prepare yourself.
The hotel has 4**** stars, but to me is between 3 and 4. The room had a modern touch, i took a bigger room, was not big but really nice. The bathroom for 4* could have bidet. We did not have problems with the transparent shower. The rain showerhead was good a well ( i used to have the bigger rain shower system at home, but this one was ok, better then the standard one), the shower cabin was very spacious, even for me. Big flat tv, soundproof windows( we tried to leave the windows open for the first night, but it was SO NOISY!! A lot of sirens, cars etc)
The front desc was rather helpful, but somehow ..cold. No smile, the girls looked so as something has happened. They did all the things they should do but..cold. You don't get the feeling they " are happy to welcome you". Maybe it's my oersonal feeling, but i have read the same. The breakfast was rather modest and vitaminless, actually ok, i can not say it was " bad", but modest. For the season actually a luck of vegetables, same for modest choice of fruits. And the bizarre lady standind behind you watching you seriously without any smile- why?? To controll the stuff you take?? You feel a little bit unconfortable having somebody watching you eat ( i mean really starring at you and your plate). But- good selection of tee, coffee. So everywhere a luck of 4* service. The staff seems not to identify themselves with 4*. The common design has a modern touch, but is a little bit too dark. It was really clean, everywhere. I do not regret, not at all, was actually good, we would like to have more personal, more " warm" service. So, recommended, but you have to accept all the points fom above.

The Bliss is a three star trying very hard to get to four star. The room is clean and modern although I could do without the glass wall in the shower. There is an issue for mobility challenged guests as there was never an offer to help with the luggage and there is a step to the elevator landing. The room was nice but seemed very dark. Well sound proofed but it is located near the train station with its police station and a nearby ambulance service. Lots of sirens all night. The breakfast buffet was okay but the hot items were only room temperature as they never turned on the chafing dishes. The coffee machine was a bit temperamental but did eventually spit out a decent latte.
The location is very good but there are hotels closer to the river and the business district.
