Loved all the great connections to Hollywood movies, as well as the history of the creation of camera and movies. I wish the shop would have contained a larger variety of items. The most striking exhibit was the costume from Alien, the most exciting for me was the original screenplay from Casablanca and a genuine Oscar!

Not as extensive as Film Museums in Berlin or Turin. None the less this is well worth a detour if you are interested in film. The museum is laid out over two floors with an additional floor for temporary exhibits. Some of the material on the history of film was of less interest to me, because this dealt with better elsewhere. Where this museum comes into its own is in the interactive sections on sound, lighting and editing which are excellent and unique in my experience. The second floor diorama of film clips is just a delight. A collection of silent clips is also well selected and includes some surprises even for someone who has taught the subject.

I only had about 90 minutes here which was a dash. I would suggest a much longer visit. There are plenty of activities for children and families seemed to enjoy their visits whilst I was there. The shop is slightly limited but fun and there is a café with food and drinks.

So, worth a visit if you have two to three hours and worth the 5 euros entrance fee.

In our short time in Frankfurt, this is the only museum we were able to get to. It has many interactive displays, which were fun and an great film montage at the end of the tour.

Very interresting exhibitions, and regular classical film viewings, the programm is always top of the range, the small bar offers delicious salads and other delicacies for the small hunger before or after the film. One of my favorite places in Frankfurt!

We loved the Oscar exhibition and also watched to movies in original language in the cinema. It was great to also have a short introduction to the movies before the screening
