Great architecture! A must for all who visit Frankfurt, not just for Catholics. In the middle of Old Town.

Had no chance to enter inside because we have to catch a flight, just outside it looks very interesting and phenomenal...

This was a nice place to visit, again if you were in the Frankfurt region. This place was reconstructed after the WW11 and the job was good

The nicest thing abou the cathedral is the tower (there's a small fee). I always feel compelled to climb towers, even if the backs of my legs start to tingle. That's a sign that I'm going to enjoy it in a dramatic way. It's many steps so it's not for the faint hearted. The staircase is narrow and there's not a lot of room for people to pass. They don't allow too many people up there at the same time for good reason. There's a metal handrail on the outside of the staircase and on the inside a long rope that you can grip. Don't be bullied by people coming down. Stay on the inside and let the youngsters pass on the inside. At the top, you can go right round, so a 360 degree photographic opportunity awaits. There's a wire safety mesh on top of the retaining wall, but it's low enough for you to put your camera on the top of the rail. Hook it round your wrist,if you're like me! It's going to take a while to get up and longer to get back down - so leave some time. Also it's worth visiting the cathedral. It's rather nice. I liked it a lot, but I couldn't really get in since it was Sunday service and I don't like interrupting a service. If you would like the nuns to pray for you, there's a box and you can write a request and post it. I certainly did
