Owner description: This historic cathedral served for 300 years as the site of coronation for Holy Roman Emperors.

The Cathedral somehow survived World War II. That is a miracle. The history including the election of the Holy Roman Emperor further adds to the uniqueness of this attraction. Aside from the gothic intricacies of the spire though, the architecture is not quite as magnificent as some of the other great churches of Europe.

The church is huge and very well done architecturally. The cathedral itself is free to visit, there is a fee for the museum and to walk up to the viewing platform(300+ steps). I went up and you got a real good view of the city. Very nice place to go and visit if you have the chance!

It was a nice place. Very quiet. Youre not allowed to take pics with flash. You have the option of going to the top but we chose not to because we had a baby and stroller.

Probably one if the most iconic sites in Frankfurt. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and were able to get in easily. Not as impressive as some of the other cathedrals in Europe such as in Rome but still a must see place.

We only had time to see it from the outside, but it was quite beautiful. Lovely walk also around the building and very easy to get around with a baby pram.
