“Good location for Messe Frankfurt”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

This is a clean, quiet location in a residential area within 15 minutes walking (I did time it!) to Messe Frankfurt. We always stay in this area when exhibiting at the Fair but this was our first time at this hotel - we changed because our old hotel had ramped their Fair prices up so high. Florentina is very clean, breakfast (included) is the usual buffet-style, with the added feature of an outside eating area if the weather is good enough; a nice touch. Rooms don't have aircon & ours was on the top floor, so (surprisingly) in September, we ended up being very hot at night. Once the weather cooled down it was absolutley fine, but I would not want to stay here in the heat of summer.
There are lots of places to eat in the area, so for a business trip to the Fair, it's ideal. Staff are helpful & friendly & the hotel is licensed & the breakfast area is laid out for drinks in the evening, so if you want to arrange a meeting before dinner, it's convenient (and there's also the garden option). I'd be happy to go back there again

I spent two nights here recently, with my son, while visiting Frankfurt.

Even though it's under 10 minutes away from the main train station on foot, it's on a quiet residential neighborhood, that felt very safe, even at night.

The rooms are on the small side, but immaculate. The Internet connectivity is very fast.

Breakfast is served downstairs, and it's very good, with a fair number of cheeses, cold cuts, fruits, yogurts, pastries, breads, jams, jellies, and they will even make you scrambled or fried eggs if you ask.

Having the main train station nearby means plenty of transportation choices. The airport is only three stops away, for example.

This is a small family-run Hotel in the Westend of Frankfurt and therefore within a 15 min walk from town-center. Rooms are very basic but clean, there was no air-conditioning in my room with 28 degrees outside... Parking solutions are limited, staff was friendly. overall it is OK if you don´t expect anything special and need a hotel for the night in the area.

Villa Florentina was perfect for our short stay in Frankfurt. Although it's located just ten minutes from the bustling main train station, it's in a very quiet, tree-lined street and a short walk from the Palmengarten and Botanic Gardens.
If you’re arriving by train, I suggest that when leaving the station you take the exit into the side street (Poststrasse) and walk one block down to the pedestrian crossing at Niddastrasse on Dusseldorfer Strasse. If you leave through the main exit on Am Hauptbahnhof, the only way across the street is via the subway, which has dozens of steps to negotiate; not easy if you’re carrying or wheeling luggage.
Iwona dealt promptly and efficiently with our requests via email. A special thanks to Mr Ahmed for his friendly welcome and attentive service at breakfast; he knows what customer service is all about!
We would gladly return to the Villa Florentina because of its ambience, classic decor, friendly and accommodating staff and generous breakfast.

I arrived to the hotel from the main train station, right through the red light district. As a single woman, I was quite put off by this. I quickly learned you can circumvent the district and still get to the train station in 5-7 minutes walking time. There is alot to like about this hotel. Charming, clean, well priced, great breakfast you can eat in the backyard. The trees outside my window and singing birds made it feel like a country hotel. If you don't need to be centrally located, this is a great choice. Finally, it's a ten-fifteen minute walk, a pleasant one, to a great apple wine tavern with delicious traditional German fare, Kunzes Erben at Bockenhiemer 87.

We like it all!!! The room was really big and full of space, with big windows, to let the breeze come in. A nice kit for coffee and tea was on the table. Very clean bathroom. Comfort beds. A lovely garden, where we could eat our breakfast. The stuff – all of them- did all can be done to help us and let us feel at home .The location – 5 min. walk from the train station, and the center of the city. Parking for only 8 euro per day.

This little 3 star is 5 star in my book. Rooms may be small but they are exceptionally clean and the desk staff is wonderful, especially Mrs. Jaworski! Breakfast is ample and coffee wonderful. 15 minute walk to the Messe, and wonderful British pub across the street. Quiet neighborhood.
