The rooms are bare bones but good value. Most rooms do not have air conditioning, so you have to pay a few Euros extra. You get only one bath towel and hand towel which shows how cost conscious they are, but they pass on the savings to the customer, I think. It is across the street from the Frankfurt Main Station, which in turn is 10 minutes from the Airport, so the location is great. If you have a longer stay, I do not recommend the Main Station area as it is close to the red light district and is a bit dirty

Room Tip: I would ask for a higher floor room facing away from the station so you get a bit of greenery.

We were very disappointed with this hotel. The room was small and shabby (not chic!). The view from our room overlooked the back of flats or offices, with rubbish bins full outside.
Staff were relatively helpful but rarely seen.
To access wifi i had to pay €10 extra!
We did not stay for breakfast - not included in the room price and we would not stay here again.

For me, the Savoy hotel is a perfectly acceptable no-thrills hotel, where I occasionally stay for business. The location right next to the train station can't be faulted, and the rooms themselves are clean and functional. Not the place to go to when you are looking for something fancy, but if you are simply looking for a decent place to sleep, give this hotel a try.

I recently stayed here for 4 nights whilst visiting family in Frankfurt. I booked a standard single room through booking.com at a great price. On arrival I was offered an upgrade to a comfort room for 10 Euros a night to include A/C, free mini bar and half hour a day free wi fi. This was great value for money as it was the hottest weekend in Frankfurt for 10 years..
My room was very good and very clean, but the towels are small and rather thin. There are no toiletries in the rooms, just squeezy things on the walls. Not good enough.
The TV had only two channells in English and the BBC news channel kept disappearing. There is no instruction booklet in the room.
There is no tea/coffee facility in the rooms but I understand that this is normal in Germany.
The staff were very friendly and very helpful.
The hotel location is excellent with about a 2 minute walk to the station and a 20 minute walk to the city centre. A poster said that it was near the red light district.. not so, you have to walk for about 10 minutes to get there.
The breakfast is way overpriced but there are so many places to eat nearby that you do not need to take breakfast at the hotel.
Check out is a generous 12 noon and they will look after your bags for the rest of the day if you need.
The pool on the 8th floor is very, very small and the gym is a bit of a joke..but I didn't go to Frankfurt for those things.
Overall don't pay more than 60 Euros for this hotel.

Room Tip: get a room on 7th Floor

Very closed to main train station. Easy to reach to commercial center and metro&bus stations. Although the hotel is in the city centre, you cannot hear the noise. Minibar is available and the prices are acceptible.
The towels are not good quality and cleaning liquids & materials in bathroom are not enough.

I stayed here for two nights in August, choosing it because it was cheap (60 euros a night) and fairly central being opposite the main railway station (and around the corner from Frankfurt's red light district I found!)

Upon check-in the two female staff were very friendly and efficient. My room was 611 (there are 8 floors) and it was small and very basic but clean, with good working aircon and a TV. There is no wired internet in the room so I had to head back down to get a wirless password - €19 for 48 hours.

Strangely, there as no hotel 'brochure' in the room so I had no idea what was on offer in terms of room service, laundry, ice, wake up calls etc etc.

The twin beds were firm but comfortable although at only 5' 11" having to bend down in the shower to avoid hitting the ceiling seemed a little silly. There was a minibar but it only held six or so drinks. There was also a CRT TV with several channels. No alarm clock, no safe, no iron/ironing board and no extra pillows, blankets etc, although I didn't need them.

Breakfast was okay, although by the time I was there at 07:45 much of the cooked breakfast had been eaten and there was little choice left.

The restaurant is not open in the evening, the bar is and is fine for a swift nightcap but there are others nearby that are much better. We also only knew the bar was closing when we saw the barman leave the hotel for home, he hadn'tcome to ask us if we'd like another drink or to say the bar was closing...

Checkout was similarly efficient and friendly - the daytime front desk staff are this average hotel's best asset with clean although basic rooms a close second.

Stayed in the hotel for one night while transiting through FRA...The location is very convenient to reach any point in Frankfurt since is right across the main train station. Did get a room with AC but did not check the local weather forecast...Did not need an AC at all. The staff is helpful, very fast check-in..The rooms are small for american standards but OK - clean and neat. Will stay there again.
