Cab ride to the hotel cost 29 Euros & the ride back to the airport cost 39. Don't know why the difference but I am not concerned about it. I always take cabs because of the amount of luggage & I like things to be easy when I travel. The stay at the Hilton was a pleasure. The room was as expected, comfortable, reasonably priced & clean. We requested an early check-in and when we arrived we were greeted and treated like we were expected regulars & received the key right away. My second request was soft pillows & that was done almost to excess. Loved it! I made coffee in the afternoon and the next morning with the coffee maker & coffee provided at no extra cost. It is one of the things I really like to have. We requested an adapter/converter & it arrived within a few minutes, also without extra charge. The front desk helped us find our way to the sites & with a very good dinner choice. The breakfast buffet was included & was very nice. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for comfort, location & quality of staff/service. The checkout was quick & uncomplicated. A very enjoyable overnight in a city that was a pleasant surprise.

Room Tip: WiFi is not included in this hotel and the pool is really set up for those that want to swim laps no...

We stayed in Hilton for three nights and we were totally satisfied, specially since we had a very attractive offer from hotelsclick.com. The most important thing in a hotel is the bed, and our bed was very much comfortable. The breakfast was good, although some 4 star hotels have much larger choices. The interactive TV with many international channels was a plus, but we seldom used it since we were out all the time. We did not have the chance to visit the spa either. The free internet in the lobby was good. Pity it was not the case for the rooms where they charged high prices. Our room faced the backyard garden and we enjoyed the nice view. The location was great: a few steps to the U-Bahn Metro and a 4 minute walk to the Zeil shopping street.

You cannot fault this hotel. Service and rooms is what you expect from a Hilton. Just one little gripe. When you use the gym there are no water machines. Bearing in mind this is a fitness first gym. Minimum you would expect is a water machine at the gym.

Frankfurt was the first stop in two week tour of Germany, which included Berlin and Munich. Each city became hub for extended tours. Hilton Frankfurt is a gem. The staff aims to please! A totally enjoyable stay. As Hilton Honors Diamond enjoyed all the amenities. Room, dining facilities, bar, health club all first class. Excellent location for a walkable city. Recommend the day long Rhine bus and boat tour.

We were looking for a hotel that would be centrally located for our one-day tour of Frankfurt, and we also wanted access to/from the airport using public transportation. This hotel was perfect for our purposes. We had made a list of places to visit before coming to Frankfurt, and nearly all were a short walk from this hotel.

To get to the hotel from the airport, take train S8 or S9 in direction HANAU and get off at the HAUPTWACHE stop. Exit the subway at the Schillerstrasse exit and walk about five minutes to the end of the street. It's a nice, pedestrian-friendly street with shops and restaurants. Look to the left at the end of the street and you'll see the Hilton across the street on Hochstrasse.

The staff was very friendly at this hotel and gave us numerous suggestions for our day of sightseeing. Check-in was very efficient.

The room was spacious and included a very comfortable queen bed. (We also had a rollaway and it was fairly comfortable.) The decor is modern, and the room was quite clean.

The bathroom is done in faux marble and included a walk-in shower as well as a tub. There was one sink on a large counter between the shower and the tub. One caution: If someone runs water or flushes the toilet while you are showering, the shower water will get quite HOT!!

We were quoted a price of 33 Euros for breakfast, as our room rate did not include breakfast. Instead of that, we ate at the nearby McDonald's at Hauptwache (near the subway exit). It's embarrassing to admit that, but we weren't looking for a big meal at that time.

We really liked our stay and this hotel, and would probably stay here again if in Frankfurt for a visit.

I ran an event at the Frankfurt Hilton and although the prices seemed reasonable when I was initially quoted, it was only during the event that I realised why it was the cheaper quote I had received when shortlisting event venues in Frankfurt:
- the staff did not know the running order of the event, though I had explained it to them
- the time between my event and the close of the previous event did not leave enough time for tidying up so this was actually going on when my guests arrived!
- concierge refused to keep a bag for me to collect in the morning
- lobby signage was only put up after requesting it 3 times (again, this has been prearranged weeks in advance)
- my contact at the hotel was too busy with other clients to deal with any of this

When I look back on this event, it makes me shudder and I feel robbed of however much I paid for it. Having said this, the venue itself was fine and the bar staff were more than lovely. But the conference staff were like monkeys in training and the after-sales team were brain dead.

What's good about the hotel:

- Great central location.
- modern, nice hotel
- rooms are spacious and very clean
- service is very good (has improved over time)
- breakfast buffet is great
- lounge is very good
- the fitness center, swimming pool and sauna are fantastic!

My main criticism is that the hotel is expensive. The standard rate starts at 240 EUR but often much higher, especially during fairs.
